Did you get beer & alcohol at the cocktail hour? If so did you have to pay per person? Did you think 1 hour was enough? Im thinking about having it 2 hours and paying the difference so it is a little longer. What kind of appetizers were they? My fiance is highly allergic to shellfish so I will have to specify that!! Also how much did you have to pay for the ipod dock? My wedding is at 2, I hope I have enough time for everything! What time was yours at? Did they supply the stuff for the sand ceremony? If yes was it nice? I really appreciate your help! its making me feel much better!!! :)

Hey there, I posted a list of the things as far as drinks that are included with the cocktail hour, as told to me by Roxi. They are able to work around shellfish allergies, I have a few people attending that are allergic to that as well as peanuts.  The price for the sand ceremony includes the supplies, but I am taking my own. I was advised that it is the same price regardless of bringing your own supplies or using theirs. The sand ceremony container has the Sandals/Beaches logo on it I believe, but I can't say with certainty. I've heard that it is still nice, but I'm taking my own because I want to personalize it. Renting the iPod dock was $75/hour I think. Hopefully some of this helps with your anxiety!

As long as you book a room for that photographer, they are a part of your wedding party and the resort can not bar them. My photographer is flying from Atlanta, so he will be staying at the resort  the same amount of time as our guests which is 4 days. The resort has no problem with that.

I think the night minimum is 3 days, so you just have to book the photographer in a room for 3 nights.  I know people have said before they used Ileana or Tropical Imaging and booked them in a room and used the room as an extra or storage.  I was also looking into that idea with Ileana, and it's cheaper to add her as a third person to a room then to get a whole other room.  I asked my ta if we could add a person to a room for 3 days where everyone else was staying 10.  He said they could, they just needed all the information to actually book it.

The sand ceremony container included does have martha stewart logo on it.  It's nothing fancy.  I thought I had a picture, but can't find it.

Hi all Has anyone had problems submitting their paperwork? I sent copies of all notorized paperwork. And the email back saying that they need actual copies and not photocopies. The problem is I only have one original copy of my birth certificate and I cannot get another official copy because I was born in another country that I haven't been to in 21 years. I'm upset because it is 30 days till our trip so if I cancel I will loose the 400 I already paid. :( Not sure what to do. Why do they need an original copy of your birth certificate if you are bringing the original with you ? So upset not sure what to do. Natalia

I went through my stuff and it all says mail notarized copies of all the documents and bring the originals with you.  I'm not understanding actual copies versus photocopies. Did you send copies of the notarized documents?  I know they want the original copies of the documents with the notarized information.  I also know they want them mailed.  I would just call your coordinator back and get the exact information and how they want it.  Good luck.

Thank you so much. Yes just talked to my wedding coordinator and yes the photocopy of the paperwork must have an original stamp. Sent it tru FedEx this morning. So now I should be okay. :). I also found my dress today. I guess I'm having a lucky day :) Now shoes and I should be ready. :) Natalia

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
