Hello ladies!!! I am also looking to have a wedding at the moon palace 9-3-2011. I heard this is hurricane season, I dont know if I need to change my date. I also wanted to know if this resort was around the same price as the other resorts in Mexico. I have a large family and I would like for most of the immediate family to be able to afford the trip. I went to Jamaica last year for my friends wedding and we only paid around 90 a night. MP quoted me 154pp... Any advice?

I really think you should stop soliciting the member services. The discount is only for wedding packages, which can be partially paid for with the current promotion. Members pay a lot of money for the benefits they receive and I'm sure many of the members wouldn't appreciate you offering member benefits with paying.

The moon Palace is Lovely! I am getting married at a different palace resort. The Aventura Cove and Spa. If you want to see a lot of great photos of the moon palace check out the Del Sol wiki on this site. They are some of the best photographer in the world and have photographed the moon place about a dozen times. You can see a lot of great photos that you wouldnt be able to see on a resort website.

I think $154pp is a good rate.  I went during Hurricane season as well but our weather was great and the resort was only at about 30-40% capacity the entire time we were there which was awesome b/c we got so much attention from all the staff and did not have any waits for restaurants or services. As long as you let everyone know now the cost and booking information, it should give them enough time to save up to go.  MP only requires they pay the first night down to book and then everything else can be paid upon arrival.

Good luck planning!

My intention was to answer a question. I'm not sure how helpful your comment is given that I can give two flying birds over what you, my friend, or any other palace member thinks. If you use google, you will also get the same response from other individuals, which is how I came across the idea and followed through by asking around about the membership. If you have any further issues or concerns, please feel free to PM me and we will vet out privately. Otherwise, please utilize the space for what it was intended. To help future brides, like ourselves book the destination wedding of our dreams.

I am getting married on August 26, 2011 at Moon Palace. We researched and researched hurricane season on weather.com. If it rained during August 2005-2010, it would only rain at the longest per day around an hour, than sunny the rest of the time. You can't change the weather, Moon Palace will accommodate you, rain or shine. :o) So don't stress about the weather.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
