We will be flying from Dallas. The first week of December wasn't too bad for room rates and flights. We wanted to avoid the holiday peak season as well. I just can't wait and if it would of been up to me alone, I would have gotten married 6 months after our engagement! Congrats to you too! Where are you flying from?

I'm right ahead of you!! October 12. I'm super excited but at the same time about to pass out. Airline prices are through the roof to Punta Cana. Any ideas anybody?

I had the same worry.. but I told me girls to grin and bare it cause I want them to wear heels. LOL. It's in the Gazebo so they should be fine and plus...I don't want anyone standing besides myself and my Fiance....they will walk in and then either stand to the side or sit down.

Could you use US Airways?

I just bought some 10% off gift cards from the Arizona Challenger Space Program.

US Airways gave them gift cards to sell for fundraising. Because they are a charity I can deduct the money I spent to buy the cards from our taxes next yr. And, I bought them on a credit card that I earn hotel points on.

I think we are open to use ANY airlines that give us the best price! LOL. My fiance works for Delta - but even with his perks..it's a little pricey. And i'm not taking any chances with waiting for a seat! I need to buy a ticket to make sure I get there! LOL. I'm going to definitely look into the US Airways thing. Thank you for that Idea! And anything that I can claim on my taxes will definitely help as well!

I would assume that prices are extremely high because booking date and travel date are relatively close. Don't wait any longer girl! Book those tickets! I am getting married in Dec. and I booked in May, so if I were you, I wouldn't wait any longer!

Also, What is The Reserve? Isn't it the same resort as Paradisus Punta Cana?

We have actually been checking these flights for a while! Hoping they woudl go down...but they were holding steady. We are hoping and thinking they may drop a little before going up because some of the flights still have like 90 something seats available. But do believe I'm going to start purchasing! lol. Yes. It's the Reserve at the Paradisus Punta Cana. It's on their property..just seperated. Private pool and a few exclusive restaurants. Suppossed to be more privatized and little more expensive. Although now I wish I would have just had my guests book in the main hotel. All the action is down in the main hotel. They would have to walk or take one of the carts down. It's beautiful still.

Oh my! I don't know how you do it!!! Our wedding is November 2, we booked our reservation & flights in January and sent out invites in February! I'd love to be someone who can leave things to the last minute but that is oh-so-not-me! Best wishes to you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
