El Dorado Royale (EDR) Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

oh yeah - mine teases me often for looking at dresses (even though I have mine), and all the other wedding stuff here and on pinterest. "whatcha doing hon? looking at wedding stuff AGAIN?" My reply is always "well the other EDR brides said they did...and it was awesome."

I'm slightly obsessed...just slightly.

We've made it through our initial booking frenzy. We have about 4 people who told us they will book Monday. that brings our total up to 42! I'm shocked, and thrilled. I never expected that many to want to go!!

Hello ladies. So EDR is beautiful! Here for a few more days if anyone wants to know anything or have photos let me know. Wifi- is free if you stay on the Casitas side or in a Presidental unit. Otherwise the prices are: 24 hours-$15US; 72 hours-$30US; 1 week-$72US. The wifi is hit or miss, trying to get it on the beach or by the pool is hard. So someone was thinking of streaming music....not likely to work well.

I know I'm way, way ahead of the planning curve, but I can't help myself sometimes!

How far out did you confirm your private dinner/reception area? I wasn't sure if I needed to go ahead and do that in order to get the space I want (Tucanes, by the pool), since I know we're headed in that direction. Not that I expect a whole bunch of weddings on the same day - we picked a Monday for just that reason. Thought I'd pick your brains on that one before I send off the email to Lomas.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
