Sand Ceremony

Recommended Posts

How is everyone transporting their sand ceremony back? I remember seeing somewhere that some sand ceremony kits come with a stopper that works well so the sand doesn't shift...but I can't recall where they said they had found that.

Any suggestions?

I don't remember what thread I read it in, but I read that other brides melted max on top of the sand to seal it.

Our sand ceremony frame has a way of seal the sand so it doesn't spill out, but I am just worried about it getting all mixed up on the way home.

I really like the frame idea and the Umbra frame is really reasonably priced. But I'm wondering if I will be able to change the picture once the sand is in there. I would really like to replace it with a wedding pic later. Does anyone know if you can do this or should I just spend more on the frame from Etsy?

I think there is a way to change the picture in the frame when you get home. I think there are instructions on the site.

I bought the Etsy frame and it is great! I really do think it is worth the money IMO.

hat0112 - Did you buy the etsy frame with the picture or the frame with the engraving? I see that the page for the engraved frame mentions being able to seal it after the ceremony, but the page for the picture frame does not. I like the idea of both, but not being able to seal the phot frame could definitely sway me towards the engraved one. Please let me know which one you got and if it has a "lid". Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
