Hi girls,

Great weekend? I was in Paris and ate my body weight in food.  It is officially my last trip abroad as we are in serious savings mode and I think diet mode too!  Weather was amazing and the red wine was even better!

Nicyx - It was a US travel adaptor but as I said be aware as my irons didnt get very hot and my hair dryer was about as windy as my godson blowing raspberrys!  I dont know what the best option would be with regards to that?

I am on a role at the moment so I got my save the dates ordered on Friday so I think I will email round everyone for addresses.  Not sure to what would be next on the list?  I was contacted by the Miami rep of Moon Palace on Friday so I think we just have to pay our deposit now and thats it?  So exciting!

Anyone else getting anything organised over the weekend?

xxx

Oooo, Paris, sounds like yo had fun, never been to Paris, wouldnt mind going for a short break, but things like that are a going to have to wait til after the wedding.

I thought the adaptor was U.S. I know what you mean with the straightners etc... Both Cuba & Dom Rep were the same my straghteners NEVER heated up fully and it drove me mad as i have horrible, part wavey, part curly, part straight, part frizzy hair and relay on my GHD everyday. Im going to have to purchase the ones that DO heat up abroad i think, but prob the week b4 we go as the £100 odd quid is soething i cant afford just now.... :-( xox

Hi Palladium2010, welcome to the forum.  I'm not getting married until July 2012 so I have a long way to go yet, but that gives me more time for planning.  We have chosen the Gran Caribe Real to get married in and so far we have about 30 people definitely coming and about another 20 that might be coming, so fingers crossed we have a nice crowd with us.

Girlies your gunna have to work on these men get them shopping for there outfits before you get ripped off in the new year when all the sales are over.

You would hate to have to wear your old grey underwear on your wedding day( wink wink) because there outfit was way to much money.

I made Paul come with me to the outlet and he thought he could pick one pay and leave the store hahaha

The gay sales rep helped me out and he ended up with the suit two sizes bigger lol

Now girls trust me you need to get those guys interested, old grey apple sacks remember

roo,  you makes i larf!!!

my OH is still refusing to do anything about looking for a suit, i was holding off on getting Mia´s dress sorted until he´d sorted himself out, but i found this dress on the debenhams website, only 35quid. bargain! Most importantly she likes it and it it matches the purple roses that i bought her, have been looking at making her a bouquet and i think it might just be within the realms of my limited diy skills!

so now i have this for mia, little man jacob has his beige and cream outfit, so OH will just have to fit in with the rest of us. Lets not forget who is truly important in all this..... ME!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
