Have any of you heard of Benz Travel?  They offered a great rate, but some of the reviews are a bit scary.

Please help :)

Hi MB :)))

I have not heard about Benz Travel either to be honest but I am one of the girls that have booked with Caribbean Warehouse and they are fantastic - service is outstanding and prices very competitive as far as i can tell! :) It is worth looking into Thomas Cook, Thomson and Caribbean Warehouse just to see the price difference, because as Nicy said with them you get that extra security...that if something does go wrong, they wont just drop you there. Not to mention sometimes they have some awesome deals too :))

But do let us know how your search will go and if you have any question at all i am sure all girls here will be willing to help out :)

Best of luck

xoxo

What is it with MIL wanting to interfere in sons lives. They don;t seem to care what they son thinks at all!!!!

Controlling mothers!!! Grrrrr.

Kerry...I am sorry that you are one of us who has problems with MIL as well...

It is stressful and sad at times cos you would think that she would be happy at this time when you are planing your wedding....but all mine cares unfortunately is gossip and drama and obviously for things to be exactly how she wants them to be...you know what she told us the other day?!...we went to see how she is doing on saturday and everything was running smoothly, we were talking about wedding etc...but then we have mentioned that we would like to have a church blessing after our DW...on which she said that we shouldn't do it and we shouldn't even mention to ppl that we are thinking about it...WTF???!!! ...and do you know the whole reason behind it? - cos she didn't get married in church after her DW and my FI's nan keep reminding it to her...so in her twisted world, we shouldn't marry in the church cos it will make nan talk about her wedding...logical ha!

...oh well lol :D Wednesday rant over lol :Dx sorry girls...

Nicy - I am so sorry that you wouldn't be able to take that job...:/ But i can completely relate..we live in the place where it is very difficult to get to and i don't drive yet either...so have to rely on FI to drop me off places and obviously if i was to go back to my "project managing" roots I will have to travel to London which is very difficult without the car too...So my promise to myself is to take up few lessons this year so maybe after we will come back from our wedding i will be able to pass the test and be free traveling where ever i want :D

Michelle those t-shits look stunning lol your creations are perfect like always and I as well would love to see you all dressed up in the airport - so cute :))

Hi Ladies, Well i have been reading through your post and all your progress is sooo good, its making me really want to crack on with things!! MIL stories are terrible, mine is lovely...........well for now at least ha ha

I get married 9th June at the sensatori,Mexico - 16 weeks tomorrow ahhhhh!

23 of us going on the 6th June............most staying for full 2 weeks- will have to find hiding spots ha ha

I have my dress, i had a bit of a nightmare but i wont go into detail-dont want to scare anyone who hasnt picked there's up yet!but its alll sorted now and i have my dress!!

Im off bridesmaid shopping this weekend, i really want coral dresses..............if anyone has spotted any on their travels let me know!!

Ermm on the planning front, i havent decided on flowers, or what meal were having for reception.........but have selected time, where ceremony is being held and where were having reception. Im not having a dj as it was soooo expensive through the resort, so im taking my ipod and hiring speakers!!

Also i have not booked a photographer................still a bit unsure what to do about this as 2 of my guests are really good and have their own snazzy camera's and have said they would happily do the photos....but part of me is nervous just incase they dont come out well, mind you if theres 2 of them im sure it will be ok??? any thoughts??

Im also looking at hiring catamaran for the day...........need to do some research of any local one's....

I have booked AHR at local private caravan park, just need to decide between dj or band, have booked hog roast.......not made invites for that yet....ah soo much to do....

Anyway thought i would share where im up to and see if anyone else is at similar stage??

Hi & welcome.... Well you have lots done :-) The catamaran is a great idea, hopefully ewe will do something like that... there are only 7 of us going to Mexico so we will just look at booking when were out there!! :-)

We have just booked a DJ for our AHR, we were for a day or so torn between a live band and the dj.... but looking at costs of the band, we just couldnt afford one.... the dj we have booked has a good rep in my town, so im more than happy!!! :-)

I love the idea of the hog roast... thats brilliant, never been to or had one but i know a few people who have had one and ive never heard anything but good reviews!!

Would love to hear the story about your dress... but thats just coz im a nosey c*w!!! LOL

16 weeks, that will fly by.... I just cant believe how fast it has gone since christmas... saying that i cant believe how fast it has gone since we booked last May!!! x

They were dirt cheap honest. I got the vests (for me, BM's, etc) and tshirts (for the mums) out of Primark. Vests were £2 each and T's were £2.50 each. The transfers were from ebay.. this is the seller i got mine from. She will do whatever you want and to go on dark or light background. I just trimmed mine a bit more so you couldn't see the background colour so much although it was white ;o) I had to do 11 in all so thought it was good. I did look at buying some but they were like £9.99 each cheapest.... maybe i should make some up and flog em on ebay ha ha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
