I just think that it was the way that you were standing at the time. I would worry about it! Really, you are getting married surrounded by your friends and family, they couldn't care less if you have a little bit of skin that isn't falling perfectly in place! At least that's what I tell myself when I feel bad about not exercising - I hurt my back and can't exercise anymore, you're busy and don't have time - same thing!

Hey i wish i had a pic from my first fitting, i had/have the same issue. I am about the same size as you too 5'5 115. So it is annoying that some parts squish out of the corest. I have been going to Hot yoga and doing a lot of cardio so i hope that helps. I only have three weeks :S

I know how you feel and i am just over it now, i am going to stop caring about those little details and enjoy my day :)

My quick fix suggestions:

Before you leave:

Do lat pull downs, rows, pushups, and pull ups (if you have the equipment) from home every other day.

Try to see if the alterations person can fix that (especially if it's too tight around the bust or if it's uncomfortable).

Loosen your corset bra or consider losing it in favor of boob tape (especially if there's a bit of padding that you don't need, because bulk in the front can make it tighter in the back).

At the resort:

See if the spa has a body wrap that specializes in taking off inches. They're not long term solutions, but some of them will take off an inch in a pinch by tightening the skin in your trouble areas.

Day of the Wedding:

Do any arm, shoulder, and upper back exercises you can with the equipment you have (don't have weights with you? Use a waterbottle in each hand!). Muscle training the day of a big event pumps blood into the muscles and makes you appear more toned.

Don't stress (as everyone else mentioned, you look great now).

Consider wearing a pashmina for some of your pictures.

Have your new husband put his arm around you! It covers the top of your back, and has the added bonus of getting to spend a few minutes in your lover's arms.

It can't hurt to do a little exercise but at the same time, I think it's just the way it cuts into your skin. One of my bridesmaids who was tiny kept getting that but it was because the cut didn't fit her right and it would gather skin so it looked like rolls. After trying on other dresses, we saw that it was just that particular dress doing so.

Lady DJ's got the right idea. While I think it is just skin, and possibly the dress not pulled up correctly the best thing to do is push-ups/plank, or lat pull-downs.

However, if you don't own a machine or have no time for the gym, then push-ups it is. Don't do excessive amounts (that's pointless) try for 3 sets of 12 (real push-ups) or start with 3 sets of 8 and work your way up. And start with a plank for 30 seconds, then work your way up to 1 min, 1.30, 2 etc.

If you have a bar at home, you can also do bent-over rows. This will strengthen your shoulders, back, core and legs. It's one of those complex movements.

Either way, I think you already look absolutely GORGEOUS in your dress ...

Congrats!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
