November 2011 Brides (or Grooms)

Recommended Posts

Looking at my 10-day forecast was depressing as well (60% chance of rain for every day on the forecast), but as the days get to be 5 days or less the forecast gets a little more realistic.  So just take a deep breath - it won't be as bad as it looks.

I believe that is the normal daily weather report.  You are always bound to get rain in the Caribbean!!  :)

You shouldn't worry.  It will most likely be beautiful for all of our weddings!!

So we're legally married!  Besides the 2 minutes with the judge nothing feels different, but it is a cool thought :-)

2 days to go!!!  We bought a scale to weigh our luggage and it's not working...!!!  So now I'm really worried about paying over-weight fees.  Did you guys put luggage right on the scale or weigh yourself with and without baggage to see the weight?

Today I'm cleaning, doing laundry, re-packing and hitting up target for last minute goods for the trip!

How are you feeling Taryn??

Did anyone else has last week anxiety?  I was pretty calm, but the past couple days I haven't been sleeping well and I'm kind of sick to my stomache.. but not in a sick way, but nerves.  It's strange.  I'm so ready to get there and relax!!

Sarah that's all pretty normal! I was super nervous right before the wedding when I was getting ready and definitely not acting like myself. I didn't sleep much the few nights before we left for Mexico. Once I got there I'm pretty sure the alcohol allowed me to sleep easy. I went down 6 days before the wedding and I was totally "off " right up until the wedding. But once I walked up the staircase to the terrace and saw my husband standing there all my stress just floated away. You'll relax when you are ready! Try not to stress ( although i wanted to kill people when they'd say it to me lol.) Everything you are feeling is all normal! Congrats! and Good Luck!

Hey girl!!  I am kind of feeling the same way.  And I have highs where I am really excited and lows where everyone and every little friggin thing is irritating to me.  So weird.  Haven't been sleeping well for the past week.  I hope it all changes tomorrow night once we are at the airport.

I am pretty much ready to go.  Just some very simple things to do tomorrow and that is it.  I kind of don't care about much else at this point.  I just want to get there already.  If anything is missing or not done or left behind...who the F cares LOL.  I just want to relax and stop thinking and stressing about packing, checklists, to-do lists, errands and all that not so fun stuff.  I want a mai tai in my hand and the sun beaming down on me!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
