Congrats to you both!!!!

Thanks for the review Sara!  It seems all the things you were most worried about are the same things I'm the most worried about!  I'm about 6 weeks away and starting to get nervous, but your review (and photos) has calmed me down a bit.

Questions for you both:  did you set up a table for your photographer and DJ?  I'm not sure how that tends to work.  And how did you get your OOT bags to your guests?  Ana told me there's a $2 charge per bag to deliver!  That seems absurd.

We brought our photographer from home and just sat her at one of the tables like a normal guest. As far as the DJ we didn't do anything special for him. He was in his booth all night. For the OOT Bags we ending up hand delivering some because we knew when some of our guest were arriving so we just went to the lobby and greeted them with their bag. The other ones Pilar delivered to everyone's rooms (with no charge).

Ditto- our photog was a friend from home and we sat her as a guest, DJ stayed at his booth all night, and we ended up hand-delivering most of the OOT bags (we actually werent done filling them when a lot of guests got there so we ended up just bringing them later that night...woops :))

21aholden- Did we have the same dress?  Looks beautiful on you!  Love your pics!

They were similar but not the same. Yours looked beautiful on you as well! Your wedding looked amazing. We must have just missed seeing yours, We saw about 3 other weddings when we were there.

Hi everyone! Just curious on everyone's opinion for reception location...There's only going to be 28 of us and at first i booked the festival terrace but then changed to the bamboo room, now i'm thinking the bamboo room might feel empty seeing there will only be 28 of us. So anyone who has been married or seen these locations in person i'd love to hear your opinion on this.

Hi Irishdonna-

I stayed at the resort during my site visit in mexico, and the bamboo room is a good size for a larger party.  The festival terrace is a lot more intimate for your group size. I think the terrace is a beautiful location. The beach is right behind you, but it is covered so even it (God forbid) it rains, you are still covered.  Hope this helped :'|  Good Luck!

I had just the same amount of people for my wedding and we used the bamboo room.  Trust me it was a great size but when you are dancing and everything it works out perfectly.  Plus the way the way they decorate it, it doesn't look like wasted space.  Just a thought too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
