Raffles Resort Canouan Island is a 300-acre private estate embraced by pristine white-sand beaches and one of the world's largest coral reefs. The resort, perched amphitheatre-style above a protected bay, affords panoramic ocean vistas from each of its 156 luxury rooms, suites and villas, all providing at least 560 square feet of lavish living space along with private balconies or terraces.

 

A 17th-century church adorned with colorful stained glass and mural art work stands gracefully at the center of the lush property. Fusing traditional elegance with Caribbean flare, this venue offers a fairytale-worthy setting for tying the knot. Virtually undiscovered, Canouan Island is the ultimate destination for romantic couples. Two stunning beaches span the resort, each providing palapa-shaded lounges for maximum relaxation. Guests may snorkel, windsurf, kayak or swim in the warm turquoise waters, which are protected by the coral reef on the outskirts of the bay.

 

Award-winning Raffles Amrita Spa offers an extension of the rejuvenating outdoor environment with its long list of indulgent treatments. Other visitors may prefer to unwind with a round of golf at The Trump International Golf Club, where each hole takes in views of the Caribbean Sea, or while trying their luck in the Monte Carlo-style Trump Club Privee casino.

 

Nuptial celebrations at Raffles are carefully customized by on-staff wedding planners. Brides and grooms can say I do in the church, on one of two secluded beaches or by the scenic 13th hole at the Trump International Golf Club. A cocktail or dinner reception may follow in the Villa Monte Carlo Ballroom or one of the resort's four gourmet restaurants: La Varenne, La Piazza, Jambu's, or Godhal's Beach Bar and Grill.

 

The Resort's wedding package, for the Fortunate Two, includes a personal welcome at the Canouan airport, champagne en-suite upon arrival, daily tropical fruit platters as well as wedding cake for two and champagne breakfast the morning after the wedding. Raffles also helps orchestrate the marriage license application process and arranges for a marriage officer to perform the ceremony.

 

Elegant tropical floral arrangements, ginger petal-covered aisles and a personal golf cart bedecked with flowers and palm leaves are some of the additional perks wedding couples may expect when exchanging vows at this West Indian hideaway.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
