I know EXACTLY what you mean!! Im going to stop weighing myself throughout the week (I know I probably shouldn't be doing that anyways). My clothes feel great too and I know I am working really hard and that's all that matters!! smile159.gif

I have yet to try on a single wedding dress... I was so not interested back in January when FMIL suggested shopping....but now its looking better and better! Hopefully soon I can muster up the confidence...

I came across this simple quote today and thought I'd share it with you losers smile116.gif lol

"You don't drown by falling in the water- you drown by staying there"
-Unknown

I'll remember this over the weekend festivities!!

jennypenny, I would say go try on dresses! I kept putting it off, I didn't want to go until I was at my goal weight. Finally, I was nervous about not having enough time so I just went and was pleasantly surprised to realize that even though I wasn't where I wanted to be weight wise, dresses still looked good on and I actually felt better about myself. I ordered a dress in a size that fit and my goal is when it comes in it will be too big and they'll have to take it in. However, even if I don't lose the weight, I know that I have a dress that is flattering to my shape and still looks nice on me.

Morning girls!, Weigh in day! I haven't weighed myself yet this morning but on my way to do that, then send my pic of scale in.

I am back on track after a busy week. I still need to add exercise and more water into my routine.

As far as chocolate I have not had any in about 2 weeks. My weakness is chips and dip.

I am trying to put together a healthy weight loss menu for FI I am going to go on the Heart and Stroke website and go from there. I am pretty sure the menu plan that I got from BeachBodies Turbo Jam covers all the food groups, just want to make sure.

Have a great day

Woohoo! I'm over the 20lb mark (since the beginning of Season 8... not this season!). AND one of my favorite dresses fits with room now. I was unable to zip it up a few months ago, and I was blaming the dry cleaner for screwing up the zipper. Guess it was my fat butt all along!!

Great Job to all of you ladies who are keeping your goals. And I'm totally with all of you ladies who are saying you feel yucky. I've been in that same boat all week it seems, and it feels like it just drains me of my willpower and stamina. But it seems like all of you are trying despite your obstacles, which is awesome. And speaking of awesome.... 10k?! Wow. I'm trying to train up to being able to do a SLOOOWWW 5k by June, so I'm impressed.

On a side note, I've been doing the couch to 5k workouts with music on my iPod and I just realized that I'm allergic to the metal snaps on my iPod arm band! My arm started itching very badly and I developed little bumps that looked like they were all in a row. Since we had just been at a couple of hotels, I was paranoid that we had picked up some bed bugs even though I try to check thoroughly when we check into our hotel room. It wasn't until after I took a few days off from running and then went back to it that it dawned on me that the bumps were in the same spot as my armband. Duh... So, I'm trying to cover the snaps and if that doesn't work, I'll have to get a new case.

This week was nooot a good week for me. Cake and pizza seemed to be around 24/7! AND on top of that I was supposed to get my period this weeked... but I decided to skip it so I don't get it on our trip - which @(&$^! is in 4 weeks!!

Ok so this is kinda off topic, but have any of you tried to skip using Alesse before?

weigh in day! Down about a half pound, its better than nothing! I had been hoping for more, since I exercised all week, but oh well! I am about 1 1/2 pounds from beating my plateau that I can't seem to bust through... my goal weight for the wedding is 6 1/2 pounds away, and I have 8 weeks... time to put a push on! I would like to be about 11 1/2 pounds lighter than I am now, but I have to be realistic :)

LeAnne, that is amazing. You must be so proud of yourself. Congrats.

Wow, Natasha, you're only 6.5 lbs away from your goal, fantastic. You will get there.

Congrats to all of you ladies that have had good weeks.

I am super bloated today (I woke up weighing more than when I went to bed, which never happens) so I am going to use the grace period and weigh myself tonight instead.

I used to do it all the time! I recently went off Alesse but I totally messed around with the pills to skip for a special occasion!

Congrats Leanne and Natasha! You ladies are inspirations!!

Yay Leanne and Natasha! You are so close Natasha~!

And I agree with Cindy, JennyPenny. Might as well start shopping now- I put it off for so long because of weight loss and ended up cutting it kind of close, since the salon ordered my dress in the wrong size!

I'm with you Vallarta- it was a horrible week for me. Two coworkers who I consider friends had things going on- one is leaving so there was a pizza goodbye diiner for her, then another ones bday and cake was too yummy looking to pass up sad.gif I also had to drive over an hour for my first fitting (yay!) so I didn't work out a couple of days because of that and the dinner. I know, I know, excuses- but the scale shows it. Up 1 lb from last week. Cannot get out of this range!

On the bright side- as I said, the salon I got my dress from ordered my dress too small, and there wasn’t enough time to order a bigger size- it would have been cutting it way too close to the wedding. So I just decided I would fit into it! (or let it out) but I went to my first fitting this week, and the seamstress said that I’m almost there- just need to lose a few lbs and inches to fit into it. I know I can do it!

EXCEPT- we’re going on a mini vacation next week. There is sure to be food the whole time- it’s all FIL’s have been talking about. I need to just make sure I hit the hotel gym (hopefully there is one!) and watch my cals……

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
