Teira - they look great!!!  I love the orange, fun paper.

I am doing my boarding pass invites this weekend with the help of all of my high school friends.  I spent my weekend running around to a bunch of Michael's stores in my area to get the paper.  Can't wait to see the finished product!

We just decided that we're going to forego official invites for our wedding.  Mostly everyone who we expected to come have already booked their trip, so no need to "invite" them again.  We plan on having an AHR, but aren't sure where/when/how we're going to go about doing that yet.  My cousin also just got engaged, and I expect she'll be getting married next summer, so we've decided to wait until we return from Jamaica before planning an AHR. Then we will simply do marriage announcements/invites for the AHR at that time.  That's not too tacky right?

So, I have a question....  I could post it somewhere else, but since I've been part of this thread for awhile and I feel like I know some of you a little better I decided I wanted to post it here!

What are you doing for your gift to your FI?  I know a lot of people on the board are doing BD pics, but I'm not sure that's what I want to do.  I'm just curious if any of you have made the decision yet?

I think I'm going to give him a small digital camcorder.  There is a great one from Kodak, the Zi8, for only $179.  I think he would love carrying it around in his pocket and taking 20 second videos of everything while we're traveling!  He would NOT like the BD picks.

Hey April Brides! I just wanted to let all the Punta Cana brides know that a very good friend of mine who is a wedding photographer who specializes in destination weddings (and beach shoots) is now not only coming to my wedding, but is shooting it as well!  I feel so lucky.  But if anyone in the Punta Cana area is still looking for an awesome photographer around my date (April 25th) she's available! Here's a link to her website and blog with samples of her work.  If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.  I've known her since high school and she is so sweet and awesome to work with!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
