I need to get back on track w/ Insanity. I did it for 2 weeks and got discouraged because the scale was going up, but now it's back down 2 but my pants feel tighter. Ugh. I hate how complicated it is!! The workouts seem to go by really fast though. I'll probably do it til I can order Turbo Fire!!!

One of my best friends said the same thing... I borrowed her insanity videos and burned them. I am training for a half marathon right now, so am thinking I will start the DVDs after I complete the half (its on June 19th) so wanted to see what you girls thought about the videos. Be ready to motivate me in a couple weeks, I've never been one to stick to a plan to well :)

I have Insanity and tried to do it for a week straight and I just CANNOT do it. It's so hard for me. Insanity is NOT easy. So, I just stick to my treadmill and lifting at the gym!

If anyone would like to purchase my Insanity set let me know! I'll give you a deal! Just PM me!

Hi girls! I think Insanity is a little nutty, but it does help with your endurance. Honestly, just keep your eating in check because that workout makes me hungry but you don't burn enough to need to eat 10 pounds of junk.

I just finished 7 weeks of P90X and Weight Watchers and lost 11 pounds. I took this week off and am planning on starting Insanity on Monday to switch things up a little. We've also been hiking a lot, but the temps are getting crazy hot in the desert (107 today) so back inside for a couple of months. I'm excited for a change in pace :)

You know I recently read online a diet/workout myths article saying that a pound of muscle and a pound of fat weigh the same... and I was like, huh, they do don't they! I think there are so many factors that go into working out, swollen muscles, water retention, body dehydration that the scale really isn't the accurate measurement of improvement for all of us. I personally don't weigh myself because I don't ever like what I see. I am happiest when I can see the difference and feel it in my clothes.

Just wanted to put that out there so you girls realize, we all start from a different place and all that matters is how the workout makes you feel and how your body changes from it. Just enjoy what you do, be consistent and pay attention to how you feel. Screw the scale! LOL... Ok enough from me already.

Autumn - you sound like you are back on track and out of the honeymoon weight gain phase I'm currently residing in, good for you! :)

I've been doing the 30 day shred and I've seen some great results, but I think I'm starting to plateau. I'm going to get this insanity workout and see what it can do for me. I really want to increase mine and FI's endurance (especially his) because we are running together and my endurance is higher than his, and he can't run for very long. HOpefully this will help us both! :) I'm excited!

kitten--yes 1 pound is 1 pound... but muscle is more dense (so it takes up less space) and I completely 100% agree with you about the scale thing. I don't even own a scale, I will weigh myself randomly if I go over someone's house and they have a scale in their bathroom lol...I take my measurements at least once a week. Thats where the real results are!!! I have a muscular body so I weigh more than I look. I concentrate on my measurements and body fat percentage. The scale definately can fluctuate...I lost 6 pounds over night one time... I weighed myself one night before working out and i burned about 600 calories during my workout-i went home to bed-didn't eat anything- then i woke up in the morning-didn't eat anything again, worked out again-burned another 600- and then weighed myself...6 lbs lost.... all water weight lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
