    HI.  Does anyone have a price list for DJ, mariachi band, etc for private events?  Yeah, seven months out and I'm starting to get really worried about my budget.  I was entirely too optimistic when I planned all these things out in February!

      Hi,

       

      The travel agent is telling me that MP is requesting it - that they've added an early booking bonus.  The quote I have in writing states feb 7th is the date that the final balance is due and says nothing about how this date might change nor does it state anything about an early booking bonus.  The TA says her hands are tied but my reply to that is that that is between you and MP and you can't make me pay for all of the rooms up front if we agreed upon the terms of the quote.  She is in contact with the tour operator to see what they can do. 

       

      I hate it when companies waiver on backing up what they've said - thank goodness the quote is in writing.

        I was able to argue my problems with MP, because I had the room block BEFORE they made this stipulation about putting down money for a room block...so they can't just apply rules retroactively... that's absurd...is there any way you can work an argument like that for your situation??

          That is my understanding as well...that the kids free promo was for summer 2010--- but vacation dollars now through 2011...

          and my family and I were able to take advantage of the vacation dollars promo this June- and it was SO worth it. Plenty of things to use the money and it definitely lasts awhile! plus if you know the room numbers of other guests who aren't using their money, or at least have extra, then you can use their vacation dollars too

          Great question BeautifulBrideAngela!  I'd like to know that as well. 

           

          Also, has anyone heard anything about the kids under 12 promotion not applying next year?  When I spoke to a Wedding Coordinator about a month ago, she said that kids 12 and under were free in July when staying with a parent who's staying for at least 3 nights.  However, when I asked the wedding coordinator that I was just assigned to, she said that the Vacation Dollars promotion replaced the kids for free one.

            I'm not sure if you received an answer to this question yet...but the vacation dollars definitely last awhile..they are $1 to $1 with regular prices listed for tours, spa, golf, etc. you can get salon services and a tour, comfortably---with dollars to spare.

              hahaha what??? this is actually kind of funny. my understanding is no outside vendors, unless they are a "guest" of yours...so a day pass or a night stay for the vendor qualifies...

                I also have Pilar as my WC in MIami... it's been touch and go between me and Pilar though...lol...however yes my questions and concerns eventually get taken care of.

                      CynLovesLuis is right. But for some reason not all the Mexican Photographers are allowed on the resort. I think it may be due to the fact that the local photographers are losing business.
