  1. I've heard that there is free international calling so we would be able to call back to Canada and not have to pay anything extra. Does anyone know if in fact this is true?
  2. Leigh, I was under the impression that my dad could use his vacation dollars to pay for something for me, not transfer them to me. For instance, he wants to use some of his vacation dollars to pay for my fiance's golf. That would be sure helpful we we could do that - we have lots of older people going and they won't use all of theirs up and want to spend their vacation dollars on the younger people.
  3. I was having a heck of a time getting a hold of my Miami WC - but as soon as I CC'd her boss I got a prompt response. For those of you who are struggling, maybe give it a go.   4. Hi Everyone, I have a question about the vacation dollars. At one point I know I asked if one guest could pay for something with their vacation dollars for another guest - has anyone actually done this? My WC is telling me its not possible but as wel all know sometimes the answers are different when you actually get there. Thanks, Angela
  5. FYI - I was told that the prices at the spa were going up as of March 5th. If you can get your appointments booked by then they'll honor the rate that you booked at.

  10. Good Morning! I have a question about American money - I've heard conflicting information about taking it with us. We have always taken American money with us and that is how we pay for anything we buy, for excursions and for tipping etc. I've now heard that they do not want us to use American money and that we should take Peso's with us? Does anyone have any more information on this? Thanks! Angela

  13. We got our mugs from a local promo company. I had to get 34 when I only wanted 26 but I can give those few extras out and keep a couple for at home. The company had a little bit of excess stock so we got them at a decent price and they had art work from another wedding that we could use without paying for the setup fee. I checked out all kinds of online vendors but felt more comfortable going with someone logal because I could see a sample before hand and the shipping was nothing at all because they were already in stock.

Hi, I've got in mine so far: Wet Ones Hand sanitizer Chap Stick with SPF a personalized travel mug and this hair stuff I got at the beauty supplier for $0.25 - its a moisturizer for dry hair I'd like to get some tums for in them as well and maybe gum or tic tacs. I really like the squirt gun idea - that could be a lot of fun!!
  16. SChica927 - that is a really great idea about the where are the bride and groom - I might use that idea for sure!! I'm doing the same thing - I'll keep everything seperate until we get there and then I'll assemble them before we meet up later that night. What contents did you put in your bag?
  17. Hi Again, I just got my nifty little package of details from the WC. None of the flowers really excite me in the sapphire package - can we pick flowers from another package of equal or lesser value? Also - I'm keen on getting flowers from outside the resort for my 2 BM and extra boot's for the 2 GM - is there a secret to getting them descretely on to the resort? Or do they just know how to package them properly? Does anyone recommend them? I'm also looking for a map of the resort that is clear - I found one on the resort webpage but you can't really see much unless you zoom in and I'd like to be able to put the map in our OOT gift bags. I think that is all my questions.....for now!! Thanks all you lovely ladies! Angela 81 sleeps until we leave and 85 sleeps until I get married! WOOHOO!
  18. Does anyone have pictures of the different terraces? By the way - my WC Cristina has gotten back to me within hours of me asking my questions.....not too sure if I've just gotten lucky but so far it's been great communicating with her.

Hi, I just tried reserving the Caribbean Terrace - it's the rooftop one and I'm being told it is not included in the unlimited private functions as it has a sushi bar etc. She is suggesting the Tucan Terrace - we are looking for a really private location with a bar that is included. Does anyone know which location would give us that for our reception? Thank you! Angela

Hi Again, I have a few more questions: 1) is gratuity included in the unlimited private function option? or is that extra? 2) does anyone have a time line as to when you should be reserving things i.e. hair appointments, any extra decor you want etc. 3) Can you book your reception time for a little bit after your ceremony to enable time for pictures? 4) If you go with the unlimited private function option - what is the time frame that you can use the space for?   22. Sheesh....I'm full of all kinds of questions today. What does anyone know about the birth certificates? I was reading in the requirements that they keep them? Is that correct?
