We just moved our wedding from Dreams Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic to Dreams Villamagna due to the unfotunate events in Haiti. There is only 10 in our group but we only have 54 days till we get married and I am freaking out right now! Looking for some reasurance that the Villamagna is going to be great from anyone who has been there.

All of our mugs, OOT bag stuff, AHR invites ect have Punta Cana, DR on them - Oh well I guess we will just have to laugh at that right -

Thanks for the support and letting me vent,

Kim

I hear really good things about Dreams VM! We got married at Dreams PV and absolutely loved the town. No one will care that your stuff says Punta Cana. I know everything will work out. Maybe hit up some of the girls who had to switch their weddings during the swine flu nonsense for advice (Yael ended up having a fabulous looking wedding in Cali).

Autumn is exactly right. No one will care that your logos say Punta Cana. They will just be happy to be there with you on your special day. AS for Dreams VM, I have also heard FANTASTIC things about Nuevo Vallarta. There are plenty of good ideas and posts on this forum to help with that too.

Good luck and dont stress! Everything will be fine. :)

I know it is probably hard on you to move your wedding, but looking back on your wedding I'm sure you two will have some good laughs with the gifts saying Punta Cana. I have not been to PV, but the reviews on Villamagna have been great. Good luck planning!

Hi there!

Don't be stressed....I started travelling to PV over 20 years ago and have seen it grown and blossom over the years....my mom and papa spend at least 5 months every year in "old vallarata", hence our plans to get married in that section(still haven't heard a word back from Playa Los Arcos) but am looking and seriously considering Dreams as a locale...so hang in there sister!!! I think that the fact that you have "memoriabilia" already made up makes that more special...your friends and family will never forget...!!!

Best wishes for all of your weddings - this forum has been a great spot for information and support!

Hi!

I actually got married at Dreams Villamagna a couple months ago. I truly believe you'll love it. The hotel rooms are amazing and the service is great. The hotel is only a year old so the installations are beautiful.

March is still high season which is good because all the facilities and restaurants will be open. When its low season the down side is not all the restaurants are available.

Nuevo Vallarta is about 30 minutes out of downtown Vallarta which means night life is a taxi ride away. But the hotel offers nightly activities every day of the week and has a great roof bar.

The only thing I wasn't to thrilled about was the make-up and hair styling at their salon. I don't wear too much make up and like to look natural and I felt too done up with their styling so I went to a salon in old Vallarta which was amazing.

Hope this gives you a little peace of mind.

Good luck on your wonderful day!
