Where should we spend our second week in RM?

Recommended Posts

Diamondpooch, My wedding date is the same and we are also moving from our destination in Akumal. Looking at Secrets Maroma and Ceiba del Mar. I think we'll end up going with Ceiba del Mar. I am also a huge fan of Tulum, but I think i want more of an all inclusive small resort since we'll be exhausted by then. Let me know what you decide! Nicole

We are getting married at Moon Palace and know a few people who have honeymooned at the sister resort Adventura in RM. So as of now, that's the plan!! Hopefully they are not too similar, but I from what we've herad, it was a good mix of romance and social setting (our friends won some sort of best newlywed competiton one evening).

Alright, here is a completely different option:

Tulum Hotel - Beach cabanas in Tulum Mexico

This hotel looks AMAZING!!!! I photographed a trash the dress session at the beach here and it is breath taking. From what I've read, the hotel is prefect for a honeymoon. Very NOT family friendly.

I think it has just around that many rooms. It's really amazing. It was SOOO beautiful and let me tell you, the beach there is just gorgeous. On my blog the latest trash the dress session is done directly in front of that resort. White powder sand and the bluest water ever. Just amazing!

We have very similar taste!! I went to the Royal last year for vacation and it was AMAZING! Beautiful resort, I'd be getting married there if I knew ANY of my guests could afford it :)

I have also been considering Secrets Maroma or El Dorado Maroma/Royale and Gran Velas is my number one choice, but I found out if you don't want to stay 3/4 mile away from the beach (more in the jungle) then the price sky rockets =/

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
