How did you ask your BMs if they would be your BM?

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

How did you ask your bridesmaids if they would be in your bridal party? Email, phone, cards? Any other creative ideas? And besides that what is the proper etiquette? I have my best friend, 2 neices and sister. I was just MOH for my sister in August.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I asked my girls on the phone. My MOH(s) - I am having two - are my sister-in-laws. And my lone BM is a good friend from college. She's the only one from the circle of college friends able to travel to Belize...so once I found out she was able to attend I asked her if she would stand up with me. I didn't want to ask before I knew she was going so I did not add any pressure into her decision making.

our schedules are so busy, my moh and i played phone tag and then i just finally texted her! HA!

I asked my SIL over email! either that or text. not very personal huh?

but both of them were thrilled.

i am still deciding mine, but my best friend from HS is my MOH and i am having my two sister in laws for BM's. I was my SIL's - married to my brother - MOH last year.

I made both the girls cards to "officially" ask them...I used the same poem! I am a scrapbooker, so I made the cards and printed the poem with their names in them. The girls loved them....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
