Hi Lianne,

Thanks I was able to look up the date we want and its showing as available! Do you know how accurate the packages are? I did up our budget last night with all the extra's we would like and it came in around $11,000 for 30 people, that was using the Premium package which I'm not sure we would need but figured I would aim high lol.

I asked another bride the same question - she said the quotes are aqurate on the web page with the addition of  $10 tip per person...so $300 in your case :)  Taxes are included in that quote, assuming that's what you were inquiring.  I'm still waiting to here back from them via email as well - I think I may just call them cause I'm getting anxious and want to send out my STD!!!  Happy Planning!

I'm wondering how long it normally takes to hear back from the wedding coordinators once you've sent off an email. I sent one to Annie and one to Dennise as I really want to book as well. It's been almost 2 weeks and I still haven't heard back.....I think I'm in the same boat as lots of other girls....wanting to get the date booked so that I can send out save the dates and book a resort.

Bride2BAmy - have you phoned them? I'm just wondering if that will work better.

Just a thought for you girls waiting to book, if you look at the wedding calendar now it will tell you if they have lots of weddings going on and that would be why you haven't had a speedy reply. I know this weekend and next week they are pretty slammed with back to back weddings so I'm guessing that would be part of the reason you haven't heard from them yet. When we booked our deposit a 1 year and half ago I did call them as I didn't want to do that over email. Hope this is helpful/comforting for all of you :)

Oh yeah and on the quote form, I would say yes there are some more costs you may not see on there. I know I was quoted around 9000 on there in the beginning and now that we are 5 days away it is at 10375.00 and we have less people coming then I originally quoted. BUT this is really based on what you would want, my cake was more because of what I wanted, I added the bows for the chairs, an extra girl to come over early, extra bouquet for toss, extra centerpiece for guestbook table, colored table runners. That kind of stuff and you don't see that stuff on the original quote. Just a thought for you ladies :) Happy Planning!!!

Hi Amy,

Just a quick question....do you know how much you have to pay down as a deposit to hold the date? I'm curious if it is a percentage of the total or a set amount. We don't know exactly how many people are coming yet (since we've yet to set the actual date....hoping for Dec 29th or 30th, 2012). It's so great to actually be able to chat back and forth with other's who are going through this as well!

We had to put $1000 non refundable deposit down to hold the date. I believe this is the set amount.  If you cancel, you can use this toward Vallarta Adventure tours.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
