Las Caletas Couples ~ POST HERE!!! (**All LC Brides...PLEASE READ 1st post, red text)

Can someone describe how the processional went and when the music played for each group of people that walked up?  I want to have the guys already at the front and not sure if they should walk in to a song with the groom and his parents behind him or if they should just go up there when everyone is being seated.  And then I want the girls to walk one by one before i walk down the aisle.  But I'm not sure if I should have the same song as the girls or if there will be enough time for 2 songs. Any input would be great on this whole process!

Hi Ivetti I did one bag per couple as I figure men don't do tote bags usually. But pretty much every single traveller I gave a tote bag too, including men in which case I knew they wouldnt use but figured their GFs or mother or any women in their life back home might use. But actually I did see the men use them when they went on a fishing trip to hold their gear in . I got mine from www.ingreetings.com VERY VERY cheap. my tote was 16x16x4 and had a custom PDF printed on my totes. Right now totes are on sale! I paid $3.75 a tote but i just checked their website and prices are now 1.75!! The totes are not luxurious but they serve their purpose if you don't mind having a cheaper looking tote. Guests loved them and raved on the creativity behind it.

Also I am not computer savvy so I had a PDF design made by my invitations designer.  www.memoriesoftoday.com

I put a survival compact bag(bought @ 99cents store) .  Inside each compact bag had  (2 tablets) pepto, (2 tablets) immodium, small sunscreen, spf chapstick, bandaids. i shopped for these items at walmart and honestly probably each tote bag with survival kit inside cost me a total of about $8.60 to $9.00 dollars and that's a rough estimate .

anyhow whatever you decide on , you'll guests will truly love it and you will see them using them throughout the trip.

I dunno...this part is stressing me out more than anything!!!!!

ivetti we had 30 guests but denise insisted we have 4 tables and one table for me and my groom in the middle. Honestly it worked out perfectly and comfortably. we seated 8 guests per table including 2 extra photographers. we did do place cards which were not set on each place, instead guests picked them up from a pretty sand box denise set up for guests on their way to reception area.  It's up to you but I didn;t want guests walking around table to table looking for their name

how long of a boat ride is it for the girls in the morning? And how long of a boat ride is it for when the guys come over (before everyone else)? Just wondering because my aunt gets motion sickness and if these rides are faster, I might have her come early with us.

The girls (unless you are on Sunday) go over on the Vallarta Boat with the tourists in the morning. When I did my site visit in October because I was there on vacation it was about 45 min- an hour and was pretty smooth in my opinion, although I"m sure it can vary depending on the condition of the water. Hopefully other brides will chime in! :)

I brought my own unity sand set. I bought it online and pink and white sand at Michaels stores. When I went to michaels they actually sell unity sets for cheaper than I paid...oh well. The WC was surprised I brought my own, so I assume they might provide it for you...but then you can't take it home.??

My boat ride with BMs was about 40 mins with other tourists @9:00am.

My hubby and GMs left from Boca de Tomalan (fishing town south of puerto Vallarta, 15 min cab ride from dreams PV  resort where we stayed). They took a nice speedboat which they said took them less than 20 mins to get to Las Caletas. (My photographer was also with them).

Boat ride for guests out of PV maritime left @ 4:45pm and they said trip was about 45 mins. We bought tons of Dramimine for all guests and no one took them. Everyone said ride was smooth and no sickness.

Hola Ladies!!!! I just got back from my wedding and vacations yesterday!!!! I will be putting a full review on here soon, still getting back to "normal" swing of things at home first. I have to say my wedding was amazing, I married my best friend, which was the most important thing in the world no matter what else happened. With that said, there were a few hiccups, which I will explain in my review. BUT there always will be no matter how hard you plan or where your wedding is. My husband and I would not change our decision to get married at LC and our guests absolutely loved it and are still raving about it!!! I have some pointers and advice for all you future brides that I will get to in good time, don't worry not too long, just need to get settled back in at home. AND I will post pics of everything too because we had the most amazing photographer and I already have my photos!!!!! Cheers ladies and we'll talk soon!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
