As for the timing of the sun setting, we only had about 20 minutes of daylight after the ceremony finished for pictures. We did pics before the ceremony in order to make sure that we were able to get lots (with the wedding party). The Groom and groomsmen came over earlier in the day to meet us and we did tons of pics (it actually was great seeing my fiance before the wedding as it calmed my nerves!). After the ceremony we did a big group pic with all of the guests and then did family shots and a few more of just myself and my husband. To answer your question about communicating with Bianca - I had been in touch with her via email prior to going to Puerto Vallarta and we set up a time to meet for a pre-site inspection visit (this was great as my husband and I took the day for ourselves to go over and see Las Caletas and finish up last minute details). The day of our pre-site visit Bianca met us at the Marina Terminal and came over on the boat with us, met with us when we arrived to go over details. The day of the actual wedding we were met by Denise at the Marina (the bridesmaids and myself) and she came over on the boat with us. Both Denise and Bianca (who arrived a bit later in the day) popped in and out of the bridal suite all day and told me to let the ladies at the spa know if I needed anything and they would phone her (the spa is right next door to the bridal suite). Hi Ladies! I haven't posted an actual formal review yet but I just wanted to let you know how absolutely amazing Las Caletas is! We just returned from our wedding (which was Dec 29th, 2012) and had an amazing time. Every single thing went perfect the day of our wedding and Blanca and Denise are the best! Everyone is still talking about how it was the best wedding that they've been to. Seriously, there are no reasons to worry about anything...every single detail was taken care of and it is even more beautiful there than I had imagined! Hopefully I'll post a full review soon but if you have any questions about Las Caletas in the meantime be sure to let me know and I'll do my best to answer them for you! xo heather

Just wondering for anyone that has recently had a wedding at Las Caletas....can you tell me if there was a steamer available for your wedding dress & bridesmaid dresses or did you have it looked after at your hotel/resort? Also...for anyone that was married (or is going to be) in December/January (our wedding will be Dec 29th, 2012) did you have time for pictures after the wedding ceremony? I am worried if we will have enough time for pics before it is completely dark. Thanks!

I'm wondering if anyone who has gotten married at Las Caletas can give me some info about guests with young babies. My maid of honour is pregnant and is planning on bringing her new baby with her (the baby will be about 2 months old) as well as my FSIL (who will also have a 2 month old)..... Has anyone had guests travel to Las Caletas with babies that young? They are both aware of the boat and that we will be at the location for the entire evening. I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or if the wedding coordinators are able to set up a playpen/crib etc. Thanks!

Hi Girls....wow I'm starting to feel a bit behind schedule! We are getting married Dec 29th, 2012 @ Las Caletas (staying at Dreams Puerto Vallarta). We've booked the resort with our TA, sent out Save the Dates/Invites (not doing separate ones). I haven't bought a dress yet...or bridesmaids dresses! I'm planning on getting mine and the bmaids dresses in May...hope I'm not pushing it too much!).

Thanks Sunshine2680! I am actually using Romantic Planet as well and have everything booked for Dec 2012 @ Dreams Puerto Vallarta....now I just have to wait and see if people actually book! Thanks again for your suggestion!

For those of you that have already been married at Las Caletas (or maybe those of you about to)....did you arrange for return travel after the wedding back to your resort for your guests? I'm just wondering if this is done apart from the travel from your resort to the marina. I'd like to have a bus transport everyone back afterwards so that I will know that everyone makes it back to the resort safe & sound. Just wondering what you have all done (we are staying at Dreams Puerto Vallarta). Thanks!

Beautiful pictures kupham! We are getting married at Las Caletas on Dec 29th this year! Since we are getting married exactly 1 year apart I thought I'd ask you about lighting at Las Caletas....did you find that it got dark quite early? I'm just wondering about pictures and lighting (I think we are going to use the photographers from Vallarta Adventures.

I am just wondering if any of you that have been married already at Las Caletas have used their photographer and/or videographer and what the quality was like. I am trying to decide if I should hire someone else or just use the people through Las Caletas. Suggestions/comments? Thanks!

I completely understand how you girls are feeling. We've booked our wedding for Dec 29, 2012 at Las Caletas and some members of my family are voicing their opinions loud and clear. I also feel frustrated as I know that I am an intelligent person and would never ask my family to travel somewhere where I would know they were in danger. The Mexico thing has been blown so out of control and it's making me so upset. Obviously there is a risk whenever you travel and being educated on the realities of the dangers is important. As was mentioned previously, I'm sure we'll all be fine as long as we're planning on hanging with members of the drug cartels or running into dark alleys with our wallets hanging out of our pockets. At this point I've decided to be excited about those that will be joining us and for those that don't want to, they don't have to...but they can keep their comments to themselves I am sure that you will have an absolutely wonderful time at your wedding no matter who is there (as long as you and fiance are there!). Everyone else should understand that it's an invitation....not an obligation (someone else wrote that on this site and I love it).

Great to hear that Dennise is on the ball I can honestly say that when I first tried to get in touch with them to book our wedding date I was a little frustrated, but once I managed to make contact they were nothing but fantastic! I am wondering about photography....I'm thinking about using a photographer outside of the one that they can provide you with. For anyone who did the same did your photographer travel over on the boat with the rest of your guests or go over earlier? (although I'm not sure how this would work). I'm thinking possibly about using PhotoShoots Vallarta (love their stuff from what I've seen on here) and just wanted to check on this first. thanks!

LiLi you should look into Las Caletas (weddings are off the resort by Vallarta Adventures). We just booked our wedding there for Dec 29th, 2012. It looks absolutely amazing and is located near Puerto Vallarta. You can get the best of both worlds (staying in Puerto Vallarta at a great resort with a day off the resort for the wedding). Just my two cents worth......there is a thread on here for Las Caletas brides with tons of info and reviews if you are interested at all. heather

Just wondering who people used as a travel agent. I have family and friends that will be attending our wedding and they are spread all over the country. I'd like to work with a travel agent that can help us pick a resort (in Puerto Vallarta) as well as ensure that we can get everyone there within a few days of each other. Any suggestions would be great!

Finally got in touch with Annie today and paid the deposit & booked our date for our wedding - December 29th, 2012!! I am so excited!! Annie has been a bit hard to track down but she did say she was extremely busy (and was very sweet on the phone). I'm sure that she will be returning calls/emails etc. soon once Dennise is back from her honeymoon. Thank goodness for this website...it seriously is helping to lay out plans, ideas and keeping me calm. Thanks for the info and reviews ladies!

Hi! I am in the midst of the beginning stages of planning a wedding for the end of Dec 2012 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We'd really like to book our wedding at Las Caletas (just waiting to finalize the deposit & date). This website has been a life saver and I've been getting some great ideas. Getting away in December will be great (currently living in Calgary, AB)....originally from N.B. but have been here for 4 years now. I am just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Palladium in Puerto Vallarta. I read that they've recently done a bunch of renos...just wondering if anyone has been there and has any thoughts. My parents stayed there last year and really enjoyed it, however they really haven't done much traveling so they don't have much to compare it to Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated! Andi I just looked at your pics from your wedding (slideshow) and they are absolutely beautiful! I am in the midst of getting my date booked at Las Caletas right now (for end of Dec, 2012). What type of flowers did you have in your bouquet? I am starting to get very excited and am just now realizing how much planning I have ahead of me!

Hi Amy, Just a quick question....do you know how much you have to pay down as a deposit to hold the date? I'm curious if it is a percentage of the total or a set amount. We don't know exactly how many people are coming yet (since we've yet to set the actual date....hoping for Dec 29th or 30th, 2012). It's so great to actually be able to chat back and forth with other's who are going through this as well! Heather

I'm wondering how long it normally takes to hear back from the wedding coordinators once you've sent off an email. I sent one to Annie and one to Dennise as I really want to book as well. It's been almost 2 weeks and I still haven't heard back.....I think I'm in the same boat as lots of other girls....wanting to get the date booked so that I can send out save the dates and book a resort. Bride2BAmy - have you phoned them? I'm just wondering if that will work better.
