Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

Quick question for those brides who have already gotten married...

When you had your dinner were the tables rectangle and how many guests sat at each? I am trying to fiddle with centrepieces and seating charts and thought it would be helpful to know..

Don't know if you ladies or any of your FI's or people in your wedding party like to golf; but currently on the GBPJ page on Facebook, they are advertising to ask about their unlimited golfing package...I have our TA trying to get in touch with Beverly about it (she seems to be MIA again) to see if it will still apply next year when many of us will be down there...I will share the updates when I receive them!

Hi ladies!!! I'm back!

I've spent the past few hours catching up on all the comments, wow, you've been busy!

It's been a really hectic month with job changes, the death of a friend, and struggling with an awful travel agent (who we've since stopped dealing with thank goodness). We also have our wedding social (Manitoba tradition) coming up this weekend so we've been doing a lot of work planning that as well.

We're finally booked! 20 people including us. YAY!!!! We had to change our wedding date from May.2nd/2011 to April.28/2011 because of flights, which was a pain in itself, but it's DONE!

Dress is bought, Bridesmaids dresses are bought (with one extra because my one BM has pretty much backed out... ugh), FI's suit is bought, Save the Dates are sent out, and photographer has been booked. I'm hoping we're somewhere on track.

We were originally going to book the private room for our reception but are reconsidering. The 2500 is a lot of money...

Anyways, that's my little update.

I hear ya how life can get in the way! I was actually wondering where you had been, lol.

Thats shitty about the travel agent etc but everything will work out in the end...I have had to tell myself that many times already during this planning process! :)

Have fun at your social!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
