Cara - welcome back and congrats! can't wait to hear all about it!

Linds - that is great to know about the plus sizes, i will have to check out Tops for sure!

...and as for me, i am back from camping a day early than expected. one of our friends got sick, and forgot his air mattress, so he was feeling pretty rough - so we came back to our place before he and his girlfriend went back up to Fort Mac. i was bummed, but enjoyed my own bed lastnight.

buuuttt, we had a great time in Kananaskis! the bears were out in full force and so was the snow!! but we had fun!

Hi Pam

Good to hear that you had a good camping trip!!! Do go check out Tops, they had tones of plus sizes!!! When I was a Menas there was a girl looking for plus sizes and all the dresses I saw her in were beautiful too!!!! Good luck, there is lots out there. I'm still planning on going to a couple more stores that I haven't visited yet and if I see any more I will pass it on.

i was pretty stressed about the bears - the conservation officers were out with their guns and some other campers got pics VERY close up (like 15 feet away)....i have a bit of a bear phobia, so it was pretty intense :P

the snow hardly bothered us though! we are tough cookies!

Hi All,

I am actually moving to Calgary on June 7th and in the midst of planning my wedding for April 2011. It would be great to meet some friends on here. I was actually in Calgary for my first time over the long weekend! It is very different than Toronto, but I am hoping I can meet some friends soon to make the transition easier.

Natalie

Hi Natalie!
I hope you liked it while you were visiting here this past weekend. You'll be here in just a couple of weeks! I've lived here all my life so just let me know if you need to know anything about the city at all!! :)

Hey Natalie!
I moved from the GTA back on 1997 to Calgary. It is very different here, but really the same at the same time. You will find the transition fairly easy Im sure. Its really wasy to get around here - incomparison to TO.

Congrats on the engagement and I hope all goes well with the move!
If you need someone to hang with give me a shout!
Jenn

    • we ended up using Facebook messenger when we were in Mexico - the hotel had free wifi and at least 1 person from each family/couple had FB on their phone already - it was pretty easy to communicate among guests "hey, we're heading to the beach bbq for lunch." or "everyone is hanging at the small pool today".  a plus was that some people tried to get a hold of me via FB on the day of the wedding and I was totally not checking my phone - they were asking if the wedding was outside given the rain forecast, thankful my mom, MOH and a few other friends were on the group and could respond for me :)

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
