Hey Laides,

 

I arrived finally this morning...I have a lot of running around to do, and am going to attemp to understand the city etc. Let me know if anyone is still up for meeting for a tea or something....I live downtown, so I can meet whenever.

You flew in on a crappy week that is for sure - hope you like the wind and rain....four days of it from what the new says.

I am still up for getting together, I think we need to decide on a date, time and location, and whomever can come will come.

I agree, we just need to set the date & time... hopefully lots of people can come. If not, whoever can will come, and we'll have another meet for those who can't!

yah good idea. Now somebody has to make an executive decision on where and when.. haha it won't be me though. I dont live in the city but I will for sure make it if I can! I travel for work too so catching me at home is rare. If anyone is coming through Cochrane though PLEASE let me know, I can meet you anywhere in town

I am totally in for cocktails, coffee, or whatever, would be fun to talk weddings

 

On a side note, I decided to start a bit of a starfish theme for our wedding, its a glam affair / starfish / Mexican fiesta - yikes, hope it all somehow comes together.

 

Anyhow after much searching I finally found a site that has the starfish jewel that I want for my bouquet, its CAD 10 flat shipping for their site, the starfish is CAD 14, why dont I live in US? ha ha

 

Funny enough the place is in Calgary, and that got me thinking, do any of you girls plan to order from

I love love this idea!!!!! I've been trying to find something like this!!!! I emailed them asking if they can be purchased in person, if not I am totally up for ordering some.

I love those, especially the palm trees....what an amazing idea!

How is next Thursday for everyone...maybe someone that has lived here longer than me...lol...can pick a place. I think it will be a blast if we all get together and talk WEDDINGS!

Linds- totally a good idea to call or email and see if you can purchase the bouquet jewels locally!! Sometimes even if it's not something they would typically do, it can save them so much hassle if they don't have to deal with all the paperwork of shipping through a registered service (like UPS). That said, I had an order through an office supply company that was literally down the street from my parents and they said no to pick up since their warehouse is so huge and it was actually easier for them to do the shipment!! Hopefully it works out for you!
