I called the aveda school where I get my hair cut to see how the handle donations. They said that if you do locks of love they will mail it for you & give you 50% off the haircut. If you want to send it to pantene, you have to mail it yourself. I'll probably just do locks of love. I had read some articles about them before that made me not so sure if they run the charity well, so I was looking at other options. But, it's better than just throwing it away. It mostly sounds like they get more hair than they can keep up with & would prefer cash donations. That is why I thought I'd sell the hair & donate the way I wanted. but, I'm finding I'm not patient enough to wait for a buyer. people want to buy freshly cut hair so you can't just chop it & wait. I'm leaving my ad on hairtrader just to see if I ever get a real offer. I'll let people know how it goes incase anyone wants to try that. So far I just had someone ask if I'd let them give me a military cut as a hair model. Nope!

I like my hair, but I'm too lazy to ever fix it. I have it in a ponytail every day so I'd be happy to know someone out there is wearing it down & treating it the way it deserves.

I have my new contacts in now. It took me about an hour to get them in the first time. I was so embarrassed with how much time I took up. I was able to get them in on one try after that, but I just couldn't get past the initial freakout.

Good luck with your make-over Morgan! Cant wait to see the "after" pics. My hair is the same length as yours, but I haven't got the balls to do a chop yet, even though it's gross and split-endy.

I couldn't live without my contacts. Love 'em. O2 Optix are the best. You'll get used to poking around in your eyes cool.gif

My daughter did something very similar to you Morgan. Grew her hair long for the wedding then let it grow for about another year until she couldn't stand it any longer. It was to her waist when she cut it and donated the hair (I think to Locks of Love but not really sure). Really short in the back and longer in the front but her hair is very curly and she lets it dry like that. Can't wait to see your after pictures!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
