I have only stayed at one AI resort before & they made us all wear bright plastic bracelets so they can tell we were hotel guests. They were those bracelets that have to be cut off. Do most AIs do this? I think I remember people all over Cancun with them on. What do you do about the bracelet during the ceremony?

We had to wear them at the AI place we went to for a friends wedding and they let us all cut them off for the ceremony and put new ones back on afterwards. Well only the girls and the wedding party wanted them off. But they worked with us.

At Dreams Resort in Cabo there are no bracelets.. no having to get up early to make dinner reservations, etc.. they just ask your room number for everything and to get seated never took more than 5 minutes.

The Paradisus / Sol Melia resorts don't give you plastic wristbands. Theya re actually thin leather bracelet straps with an oval that reads "Paradisus". Pretty nice actually. And you can definitely take them off during the ceremony.

All Occidentals make you wear those awful bracelets but I am sure they won't give me a hard time about taking it off for my wedding... I'm willing to bet the wedding party is ok too, but I don't know about guests

We cut ours off for the ceremony, and as long as you had that, they would give you a new one. I have to believe that most places will work with you on that.

I'm thinking about having it attached to my ankle, that way it would be hidden by my dress anyway.

                Just a thought.

Dreams Cancun does not use these.

Moon Palace uses these. The wedding coordinator cut mine off before the ceremony, but I can't remember if Andre still had his. Our guests had to keep them though.
