Are you set on Jamaica? TBH, and this is just my own opinion, but you are not missing out by not staying at GP. It looks gorgeous in the pictures, but I stayed there last July while attending a friend's DW and was not very impressed. The food was good, but considering it's a new resort, everything was falling apart. The pool was disgusting, the AC did not work in many of the rooms, nor did the phones. Perhaps it was just my own experience, but many people in our party had the same feeling and will never return.

 

There are sooo many other beautiful options, both in terms of locations and resorts. I am sure you will be able to find something in your price range for July 17th. All the best!!!

We are getting married in April 2011....our travel agent is really pushing us to confirm our wedding date and get our guests to book their rooms. We feel it's early, but we don't want to lose our date. Any thoughts??
