Hello everyone!

My name is Carla and my boyfriend and I just got engaged!

First off, let me thank you guys already for all the wonderful information and advice you provide. You guys a so awesome and I feel lucky to have found you guys.

A quick summary about us:

My boyfriend and I met in college while we were both playing lacrosse at the University of San Diego. We have been dating for eight years and have finally decided to get married. We haven't picked out a date yet, but we're looking at sometime between late 2010-2011. We would both like a destination wedding somewhere in Mexico since we both were born there but moved to the states as little kids. Ideally we would like a venue that is intimate, but that could accommodate around 80 people.

We are open to any and all suggestions on locations, dates, colors, and everything else that goes along with planning a wedding. We both are completely clueless when it comes to this stuff, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and congratulations to all you wonderful brides!

-Carla

Welcome Carla!!

Congratulations on your engagement! That's so exciting!

Off the top of my head, I instantly think Las Caletas when I read your write up. It's very intimate and I think it can hold the amount of people you'd be looking at having. Plus, it's close to San Diego so I think it'd be a reasonable destination for your guests to attend.

Many brides have posted reviews and it's breath taking. Type Las Caletas in the search bar and you'll find all kinds of information!

Best wishes and congratulations again!

Welcome Carla! My son plays lacrosse. It's a very cool sport.

I was married in Tulum, Mexico, about two hours south of Cancun. Our ceremony was in the preserve and ceremony was at a hotel called Mil Amores. It's basically two mansions converted into a hotel. I now coordinate weddings in Tulum because I specialize in boutique locales. Either Mil Amores or Blue Tulum might be to your liking.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
