So glad someone bumped this up for me to see. I'll add on...

I'm trying to lose about 40-50 lbs (want to lose 30-40 by the wedding), and I just recommitted to WW. I lost 10 lbs earlier this year then got sidetracked, but I'm back to it. My second (the major one) fitting is in a month so I'd like to lose as much as possible between now and then.

I'm doing the WW Core plan, running 2-3x's a week, walking 1-2x's a week and doing pilates classes 2-4x's a week. This is my 3rd week. I only lost 2 lbs the first 2 weeks, but I do feel like my body is changing so we'll see.

Well sounds like you have a good plan! I haven't gotten back on track yet...but I plan on it...I have a busy weekend coming up, so I am going to try and eat decent but it will hard to be strict...so first thing next week I will buckle down again....

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm with you too Michelle. I NEED to lose 40 pounds (by the wedding.) It is just UNACCEPTABLE how heavy I am right now. A good friend of mine and I were once both on WW at the same time and we started our own little support system. We would email each other everyday with the foods we ate and the amount of points it was. It was a great way to learn about foods I wouldn't normally have eaten that were in my point range. My friend is pregnant now so I need additional support.

So here I go. Today, July 19th - Goal is to stay under 1700 calories.

Breakfast - cereal with skim milk = 400 calories

Mid morning snack - a banana = 100 calories

Lunch - veggie burger on a roll with a side of veggies = 650 calories

Mid afternoon snack - 100 calorie pack of chips o'hoy

Dinner - WW Rice and Beans meal = 300 calories (and really yummy)

Ok, so total calories for the day (if I don't cave and grab real cookies from the vending machine here) is 1550 - not bad.

I am so bad....I just can't be strict....I did it last month...what is my problem!!!!

Okay so I am trying to stay under 1200 calories a day and total by the time of my wedding I want to loose 30 lbs but I would be happy with 20...so that is my first goal.

Okay here is what I am eating today...

Breakfast: Starbucks non-fat latte (grande) = 165 calories

Quaker oatmeal raisin bar = 90 calories

Lunch: WW macaroni & cheese = 300 c

1 slice of SD Bread = 50 c

snack pack of carrots = 40 c

Snack: Banana = 80 c

Nectarine = 50c

Dinner: Subway 6 in turkey (no cheese) = 280

Total: 1055...okay I might throw in a bag of baked chips at subway!!

We will see how that goes!

Ok, here are some other good tricks:

1. Brush your teeth after you eat. This sometimes makes you think twice about messing up your fresh breath with a snack.

2. Keep gum on you at all times. Keeps you chewing but with no calories.

3. When you get a craving for something sweet, grab a diet sode (if you like diet soda.) You'll end up saving the calories and points or other things.

4. Make it a point not to eat after 7:30PM - no matter what. Oprah's trainer says you need to get used to going to bed hungry.

5. Start a Weight Loss Pool. We did it at work. 8 of us each put in $200 and dieted for 13 weeks. (Nothing motivates me more than if you wave some money under my nose.) I actually ended up winning and used the money for new shoes - seriously!!!

Good points Jen...I always have gum...sugar free extra! I don't like diet soda personally...I only drink water. But I'm sure I can snack on something else.

My schedule is so crazy that I eat at all hours...I do need to stop that though. I have to sit in a class until 10:30 two nights a week and I tend to snack in class because I try to stay awake and get bored!! I have started bringing my laptop though so I can be on the forum during class instead! :) Once addition to another! :)

About the pool love it! I did it at my old job and it works and it's fun and motivating!! To bad there wasn't an easy way to do it on here!!

One thing I always find when I'm on WW is that I'm always hungry. But I started to try to eat more protein and less carbs, while still doing WW and it really helps you not to be so hungry. I still eat carbs, I just try to limit my intake during the day.

I really need to get back on track. Last year for my FI sister's weddign I lost 30lbs doing WW. Unfortunately I have gained almost all of it back. I won't go shopping for a dress until I lose at least 10lbs first. May be it woul dbe could if we could post our food intake and exercise log. I need the motivation!!!

Good luck girls!

Has anyone tried the new stuffed sandwich at Subway? What's the deal? Is it just new bread and you can make any sandwich out of it, or is it a whole new sandwichhuh.gif Normally, I'm in Subway a few times a week but I haven't been in awhile. I was going to go today and check out this new sandwich. It looks very interesting.

Goal: Calories for the day to not exceed 1700

Breakfast: Cereal with skim milk = 400 calories

Morning Snack: Banana = 100 calories

Lunch: Subway's veggie sandwich on a 6" wheat with honey mustard, light chips and a diet coke = 350 calories

Afternoon Snack: 100 calorie pack of chip's o'hoy

Dinner: Who knows, we're probably going out to eat, but I'll keep it under 750 calories

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
