Airtran flying to Montego Bay!!

Recommended Posts

Please keep in mind that while this is exciting news- please be cautious! Airtran ( and others like it- Spirit, Jetblue Ect ) do not code share. Plus, often they are only running flights to these destinations once a day or every other day. So what's the big deal?

If the flights are cancelled, or run into a mechanical issue and you do not make it to the destination in time -you may not be able to get legally married! Or, if your guests book on these flights and run into these issues they will likely miss your wedding!Of course if you put in a few days wiggle room then you won't have to sweat it out!

Without codesharing there are extremely limited options on what these airlines will do to get you to the destination on time- they will not care ( unless your lucky!) that you will not be able to get married. There obligation is to get you to the destination on the next available flight- that could be days later if the next flights are full !

I'm certainly not trying to be a party pooper- just wanted keep from any future heartbreak! The good news is these will be great at possibly keeping the prices down as more seats will be available and this will be great for site visits and vacations!

Thanks for the info! Does Air Jamiaca "code share"? Right now it seems like they have the only non-stop flight out of Chicago and is probably the airline we will end up using.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
