You leave in just about a week - how exciting! Can't wait to hear your review of the place & your big day when you come back!
I chose the buffet because I was nervous about having only 1 dinner choice. Plus, a lot of the options for the sit-down dinner were seafood and I don't like seafood. So, I am having 26 people come...there will be 28 including us and Ana said we were allowed to have the buffet.

Perfect! Thanks for the info :) I don't like seafood as well and was a little put off by all the seafood options for dinner!

For those of you who have emailed the spa...how long did it take for you to get a reply? I am trying to set-up appointments for my bridesmaids and my mom for their hair. I emailed the spa email address last week and still haven't heard back sad.gif

Angela-- Has Ana let you substitute things from the package? This is my ONLY hesitation from going with the package.... I do not need a minister, photograher or the mexican music set. Will she let us take that out?

Laura22610....do you happen to have the buffet menu and what the price per person is? We are expecting a large group so will probably be forced to do the buffet....

Thanks!
Nicole

Hey ladies, saw this on the Dreams Riviera Cancun facebook page and figured I'd share it here for those who haven't seen it:

We just got back from our wedding at Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort and it is one of the most beautiful properties we have stayed at. We travel often and we were, as was everyone in our group of 45 people, extremely pleased with the property, spa, food and staff. No one had anything bad to say. (However, some of the parents commented that they were mislead about the Emperor's Club. They were told before booking that they could leave children there and receive a pager, but once there that service was denied). Nevertheless, we actually referred several people to the resort before we even got there. We have nothing but great things to say to all who have asked about our trip back here at home. We're quite certain there will be a few more guests in the future, as well as a few within our group that have expressed interest in another visit there.

Regarding our wedding. Ours was a week of sunshine, except for the two hours we needed for our outdoor pool gazebo ceremony. If you are planning a wedding here, the only thing you need to have is a good Plan B in case it rains. The resort photographers are absolutely amazing. They were kind enough to give us another photo shoot the next morning in the sun on the beach, which gave us an unbelievable collection of photos. If you want to see their work, here is the link to the slideshow they made for us Nelli & Ivica

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
    • So we are currently looking for an all inclusive resort for the wedding. We have 60 guests and found all the Dreams resorts as options and all of them gave us a quote and discounted price since it’s off season etc. Resorts in Punta Canta gave us a reasonable price, Dominicus gave us a really good deal then La Romana Resort and Spa gave us their regular price and so hard to negotiate. Will someone tell us how special is this resort that they won’t give us a good discount when all my guests are staying in their resort for 5-8 days. We are bringing $$$ in their resort and not give us a discount?  What is so special with this resort?  Can somebody recommend a beautiful resort?
