WTF You Do to My Gown*#$%$^%&

Recommended Posts

Can you try and call some back up alterations shops? Explain your situation and offer to pay a rush fee if they can fix it then demand the other place cover the charges or refund you initial money?

Good luck. And I agree with the idea of finding a back up option.

I totally agree with the back up option - it may not be exactly what you wanted, but I'm sure you can find something pretty, and hopefully it will give you a little peace of mind. And I would call around to other local seamstresses to see if maybe they could help out in the short time frame.

I am so sorry that you have this added stress so close to your date! I think that you have to look into 1) finding another seamstress and 2) as a last resort, start looking at other dresses. I know that you don't want to hear that, but you may be able to find something right off the rack that fits and doesn't need to be altered. It can't hurt to spend some time looking, just in case. I would definately make them pay for the dress that they ruined. If they give you a hard time, just take pics, keep your receipts and take them to small claims court. I am sure that you will look beautiful and that you will have a perfect wedding day.

WHOOOOA! That is so insanely foul of them. Sounds like they aren't real professionals since I cannot imagine any alterations shop doing such a halfass job for someone and thinking a bride would be pleased! This isn't the kind of stress you need right now. Your dress should be one of the things you are rock solid thrilled about, so I am so sorry!

Please update us and let us know how things work out!

OMG Well did you take the gown home or were they bold enuf to show you the gown in the store? Please tell me they were apologetic. If I were you I'd prolly be in jail right now. I think you should show up at the shop on Mon to check on their progress, and if you are unhappy take it to another seamstress. I really wouldn't trust them at this point. Like other's said maybe tomm you can run around and look for other options. I'm so sorry this happened to you...

Good Luck.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
