Ordered my dress of ebay...and feeling nervous

Recommended Posts

I ordered my dress off ebay last week and am feeling very nervous about my purchase. It's the Sophia dress by jcrew. I got it new with tags for a fantastic price ($74USD). I called Jcrew with my measurements before ordering it and it should fit. I'm just worried it's going to have a stain or rip on it or something.

Any reassurance from others who've ordered their dress on ebay?

I think with Ebay it all depends on the seller. Did you check to make sure they have a good rating? Or why they were selling the dress?

Hope it turns out great. Maybe you can take it back to Jcrew if something is wrong??

I bought two on ebay from a store somewhere up north that was no longer going to carry the lines. They both came promptly and were in PERFECT condition! I couldn't have been happier - except that I wasn't as in love with the dress I wanted to wear for the wedding - long story, now they're both up for sale.

I wouldn't worry about it! It sounds like plenty of people have had wonderful experiences ordering from ebay and if she has an outstanding rating everything will be fine! And plus in the grand scheme of everything if you don't like it or it is not a perfect fit you can (a) resell it or (B) use it in a TTD session! And for $74 you can't go wrong and could still afford to get another dress if this one doesn't work out!

I have only heard good things from people ordering off ebay as well. I am looking there too, but I am like you and am a little nervous. Plus everyone tells me I need to try on the dress, but I feel like if I found a good one at a good price online I would be willing to risk it. I am sure it will all work out!

Oh hunnie don't sweat it! I found my dress on ebay (I'm all about being frugal!) and it's PERFECT! I actually just found another one like 5 minutes ago that is a bit more formal, so I think I'll wear that at the ceremony and my other one at our AHR. As long as it's from a reputable seller, and you've checked the measurements it's going to be fine!

I was freaking out before mine came too.....what if it isn't packed right? What if it's stained? But it all worked out okay! Worst comes to worst you're only out 74 bucks. There are way worse things that could happen, yeah? Think positive, I'm sure it'll be gorgeous!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
