Who is attending your legal wedding?

Recommended Posts

I have to admit, I really love the idea of having my grandparents be our witnesses, since they won't be able to attend the DW. Brought a tear to my eye.

We had intended to just go ourselves, and not invite anyone except maybe a couple to witness. It's not just about everyone else experiencing the DW as the "real" event, but for myself as well. I don't want to feel like the paper signing is what actually seals the deal....

We are holding our legal ceremony right before our reception when we return (19 days after our DW). We were originally planning on having our legal ceremony before we left but then we felt that would make the DW not as special since it would be the second time. We are inviting all of our family to the ceremony. I was originally just going to invite the people that were unable to attend the DW but then I felt bad that we weren't inviting everyone so now its the more the merrier. Yowza!

We are not inviting anyone for our legal ceremony. We are telling our parents only, everyone else will think our DW is our legal wedding. We are thinking of the legal ceremony as just the paperwork part of it and the actual ceremony as our wedding. Any way you decide to do it will be fine. By the time you get to your DW, you will be so happy, you will forget you ever had a legal ceremony anyway :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
