All of these are sweet. I like to hear what stands out for some of the ladies that had their weddings over a year ago - fun.

Kelly I love that the minister stopped you guys and had that moment. Very sweet.

- Hearing "Island in the Sun" by Weezer when I walked down the aisle. Not wedding-y to most, but was perfect for us.

- He told me I looked beautiful like 5 times in the span of a minute, once I got to the altar.

- A plane flew over the beach during the ceremony and Rev. Bob looked at DH and said "they're coming to take her away, so you better hold on to her." LOL

- Being in Jamaica, away from all the BS of a traditional wedding at home... and being away from the snow.

My favorite moment was when my girls were getting ready to start down the aisle & the tsunami (SP?) testing sirens began to go off. OMG!!! I was like wtf is that noise; the hotel alarm lights were flashing & the sirens would not stop. I was looking for some sort of a sign from my father (that passed away 6years ago), & I believe that was my sign!!!

this is a really cute thread

Mine was walking down the aisle and just being so happy that everything worked out and my best friends were there

Also we did a trash the dress and when we were in the ocean a wave went right over us and we were hysterical laughing and of course jumping in the pool at the end!

I agree! This is a great thread! I have so many memories, but, these are my top:

1.) Sharing a moment with my Dad right we walked down the aisle...he started telling me how he remembers when he sent me off on the bus to kindergarten...I just started to lose it right then.

2.) Hearing my song, "I'm yours" start to play just before walking down the aisle and saying to myself..this is it!

3.) Seeing my husbands face on our wedding day for the first time as I walked down the aisle.

4.) Seeing my mother in law right after she fell into the pool at the reception!

5.)Our first dance

6.) Feeling so grateful to have all those people at my wedding in Mexico

Oooh fun! Here's mine!

1) When I walked down the aisle to Canon in D, I've always wanted that to be my aisle song and I had to try really hard not to cry when I heard it but I was totally choked up!

2) Looking and DH looking at me walk down the aisle, I could tell he wanted to cry but he was trying so very hard to hold it in...and he did! lol

3) Finally standing by DH after the long walk down the aisle, he turns to me and whispers "pretty lady" (he usually says that when he thinks I look good) in his cute little voice.

4) When it was time for the kiss, we kissed but then DH threw his own spin on it and dipped me. It was not planned and surprised the hell out of me! I couldn't help but laugh my ass off, which made for a great pic of us holding each other and laughing...it's one of my faves! :)

Jeez, reliving all of this with you girls has me all teary-eyed now too! hehe wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
