hello April 2010 brides

i am getting married on 23rd April at Riu Montego bay Jamaica we will be there from 20th april - 4th may are there anyother brides going to be at the same resort in this time?

i feel i have slacked off a bit due to the fact that my Dad has left my mum for someone else so the whole family feels like a boulder just fell on us

anyway i still have so much to do so have decided that i will only focus on getting everything sorted and not think about whether i want my dad to walk me down the isle as i know if i make that decision based on how i feel at the minute the answer would be no but i know i would regret it later

so let me know if you will be there when i am and maybe we can arrange a meet up at the bar x

wow.. this is what i get for going away for a long weekend.. welcome to all the new april brides!!

you guys may have moved way past this already, but i know someone mentioned whether it was a good idea to buy attire now or try and wait till next spring. i panicked about this and decided, better safe than sorry, so all of the GM and my FI have their outfits now. there are some AMAZING deals out there right now and i didn't want to push it. i think by march the summer-weather clothes should be out though. just consider me paranoid!

also, i can't remember if i told you girls this or not, but i FINALLY found artificial stargazer lilies! they were on a site that i had been watching for a while since it kept saying they were sold out. one day i checked and they had a whole bunch so i bought a ton of them! they should get delivered on wednesday so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will be the right shade of pink and good quality!

chicken.. i think i missed a page before, but i just saw that you're having your reception on the la barcaza cruise. i am SO jealous. that will be absolutely beautiful! do you already know what your menu will be? will you be able to do everything that you normally have at a reception on the boat? (dancing, music, toasts, etc.?)

I am nervous about waiting until spring to look for clothes too. I think it's best to buy summery stuff as it goes out of season - especially if you see something you like. I will be too stressed waiting until next spring. I do have a little advantage living in Florida because we typically have beachy attire year round.

I had her full attention for the 1.5 hours I was there. It took me 30 minutes to select dresses with my sis and about 45 minutes to try on 10-15 dresses. The last 15 minutes I was basically finalizing my decision, which wasn't too hard to make. There was another Nicole Miller dress that was to die for, but it wasn't very wedding-y. The secret is trying not to describe it to the FI! I'm so bad at keeping secrets!
I am so jealous you went dress shopping at Kleinfeld! Did Randy pull any dresses for you? I absolutely love "Say Yes to the Dress." My friends who have already walked down the aisle say not to watch it after you buy your dress though because you might start having dress envy!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
