I'm a DPB bride! I will be getting married there 8/10/13. I'm starting to have second thoughts and moving things to the Jellyfish ... BUT from the photographs I've seen at DPB..it looks just as beautiful.

My colors are coral / burlap with accents of gold and turquoise. I'm soo excited to get married there!

re: Cocktail Hour - I was told that the price include alcohol /apps.

re: Dinner - I was also told the the price includes alcohol and food

Please let me know if you hear otherwise... I might need to double confirm!

Can't wait! Happy Planning to all!

Hi Vlendof,

Thanks for answering! The wedding coordinator finally answered and clarified what exactly is included with dinner alcohol wise.

Why are you having second thoughts??

H iAll,

I am recently engaged (yay), and my FI and I would like to get married in DR. I hear so many great things about Dreams Punta Cana and their professionalism, however when I looked at the pictures online and the trip advisor rating, I was a little worried. I then turned to Dreams Palm Beach as it is higher rated, so I am currently looking into that option. It will be between that and the Excellence adults-only resort. If anyone has any additional insight, personal stories, pictures they could share, that would be great!

Best,

LaShawn

Hi LaShawn,

What about the reviews you saw on Dreams Punta Cana made you worried? Right now I'm trying to decide Dreams Punta Cana and Dreams Palm Beach...

Thanks!

I am also trying to decide between Dreams Palm Beach and Dreams Punta Cana.  I am starting to lean towards Dreams Punta Cana because after THREE attempts, I cannot get a response back on availability or any of my other questions.  The wedding planner at Dreams Punta Cana has always responded within 24 hours.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?

What I meant was... the Dreams Palm Beach wedding department has not responded to my requests via e-mail OR through their website form.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
