Ummm Sarah.... was it really that easy? I'm paying extra to have my apostilled because I was told you need it. So your name in offical now.

I'm SO happy that you guys decided to elope... Congrats. I'm having our wedding dinner at DeCortez (the one Natasha recommened) I should have pictures of it after we get back from Cabo. The food is really good, and it is a VERY romantic spot, that's one of the reason I picked it. Irma at the Sheraton is also really helpful.

Yup- my name is official. I just don't have the new cards in the mail yet, but I've already switched over credit cards and stuff. My license should be here this week then I can change my nursing license, etc. This should probably be it's own thread, but I just wonder if there's anything else I have to do. Is there any reason why I need to have it in English and apostilled? Like, do I have to file it here in the US somewhere? I should probably find this out soon...lol

I have to make sure that I get certified copies of my marriage record from the registrar (official keeper of the public record) where I get married. That is all I will need to prove that I am legally married. I will need to have it translated though.

That is amazing Andrea! A Cabo wedding with a very intimate crowd should be wonderful. I can't wait to see the pictures. I hope Erik's family isn't too upset.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
