i worked crazy hard on mine just to have people pulling my ipod off the dock and replacing it with theirs for certain songs they wanted to hear. the result was me not ever getting to the later songs in the playlist (some of the best stuff, since as you know, you arrange them to build up as the night goes on), and obviously the transition from one ipod to another wasn't smooth at all. honestly it's my only complaint from my entire wedding experience. i should NOT have allowed it to happen ... don't let it happen to you!

Perfect timing for me...I'll add some of these to mine as well. I have a "no play" list too. No one else is doing that?

I'm just using my iPod so I don't need a no play list.

glad you ladies can learn from my mistake! it's my one real wedding regret. i actually started sorta yelling at DH ... not really mean-like, but it probably still looked pretty bad because i'm sure i was clearly upset. my friend made a comment like, "awww their first married argument" so i guess i did make a bit of a scene.

before the ipod got changed tho, i was getting a ton of compliments on the music choices. so dinner music was good at least, lol.

"i'm a believer" got skipped, and "what i like about you" got cut off halfway, and we never got any further in my playlist. i also had "pour some sugar on me" in there for the cake, but since my ipod was not to be found at the time we had absolutely nothing playing for that. we did throw in a few slow songs too ... i think "baby i love your way" and "come fly with me."

I have started on my DO NOT Playlist!! There are soooo many. Mostly the songs I hear at every wedding when everyone is drunk and doesn't care what they(we) are dancing to.

FYI- to create a smooth transition between your songs on itunes so it sounds more like a real DJ- go under Edit- preferences- playback- crossfade. You can adjust the fade. It works well!
