Hey Flying child, I didn't know that about the bonfire needing to be coupled with a rehearsal dinner. That will really suck if I can't do it. I only have the cocktail hour secured. I still haven't heard back from my WC Jenny about it. Hopefully they will allow me to do it considering the large size of my party??? Idk. When is your wedding date?

I'm dong the garden gazebo for ceremony, pier for cocktail hour and seaside grill (indoor) for reception. Kinda like you! I don't know what it looks like either. Just praying for the best!

My wedding is in like 45 days and I seriously don't know what I'm doing about a lot of things. I just ordered some fake flowers for bridesmaid bouquets (which is saving me $400) and I have to figure out what I'm doing about my centerpieces and and special gifts for guests/bridal party. So much to do, so little time!!

From the email she sent me a couple days ago, she says bon fire needs additional services...if I get the $20pp dinner they will set up open bar for us for two hours. I asked if the guests can just go the closed by bar and get their drinks, she says no...even if it is an all inclusive resort but apparently the bon fire is considered private event and we need to pay extra for food and drinks... :(

I did asked her about the free cocktail hour after you mentioned it, and also asked if we can opt for a dessert bar or some sort instead of a formal dinner... That might be cheaper and I am sure by the time bon fire starts, most guests have already eaten dinner.

Our wedding is on Aug 29, 2014- US Labor day weekend! :) We aren't sending out formal invitation till the coming Feb, but from talking to friends and family, we are anticipating a party close to 50 people as well.

Are you getting the Tiffany chairs? I am in love with those chairs! But $10pp to rent it is ridiculous. She gave me a discount but I am negotiating for a better deal with the amount of guests we plan to have.

I guess from all the new information I got from WC, there are just more depressing (or money costing) news than good news... I am trying to eliminate some stuff that are "nice to have" and probably no one would notice but myself haha :)

Hey ladies! We just returned from our wedding and it was absolutely amazing!! I was so stressed before getting there and wasn't getting responses from my WC Jenny but after arriving we met Jenny and Yanna and had Yanna for the wedding day. She was amazing and everything was perfect. The resort is beautiful and you have nothing to worry about! Let me know if you have any questions! I will try to post some pictures too.

We have decided to have an indoor reception...but I want the ballroom because all the indoor restaurants seem to cost extra rent. My WC told me she can't confirm the ballroom for me but only the restaurants. I don't understand why... Where did you guys pick to have your reception? Do you have to pay extra to rent the restaurants? And which restaurant to pick? I am leaning towards the Seaside grill but again, I have never been there so I can't really picture the location. We want to have the ceremony by the garden gazebo and cocktail hour at the pier.
Who is your WC? I got married last November and Jenny was my WC & she reserved the ballrooms (we used 2 of the 3 large ones as one huge room bc we had 155 guests attend) for us with no question. The ballrooms are beautiful!

Hi ladies! Haven't been on here in so long since my wedding was almost a year ago but just checking in - love to hear ab all the new DLR brides!! Just a tip ladies, if you know where you want to have all of your events (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, etc.) make sure you get it confirmed from your WC since there are more than one wedding per day if you don't you could have an issue. On my wedding day there were 2 other weddings and another bride thought she was getting married at the garden gazebo but we had it reserved for over a year out, so she ended up having to change her wedding day to Friday instead of Saturday about 4 months before her wedding so that she could have her ceremony there. Good luck with planning and feel free to PM me if you have any questions ab anything, or want to see pictures of anything - and don't worry about the resort - we've been there twice and it's absolutely beautiful ;) Our wedding was amazing!

    • OMG these are incredible! Seriously blown away by the thoughtful detail you have put into every aspect of your gifts, your guests are going to be amazed! Props to you for adding so many personal touches and putting in so much time to make these gifts amazing!
    • These bags are amazing!! You are so organized and detailed, I am so impressed! I LOVE the Vistaprint stuff you ordered, the logo is so cute, I love your personalization!
    • I love etsy!! It's a great place to find personalized gifts without such a hefty price tag. I was thinking of getting my bridesmaids personalized necklaces with their names on them. I found these ones that are affordable and you can pick the chain length and different fonts, so you can really make them your own and pick what you know each bridesmaid will want. https://www.etsy.com/listing/595334072/personalized-name-necklace-stainless?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=personalized necklace&ref=sc_gallery-3-9&plkey=a8662525c53ec285c1b46b0f308162d0591edff8:595334072
    • Hi everyone, I am so happy that I am getting married to the love of my life. He proposed me and we are getting married within in a couple of months. And I have started preparations for my big day. I am super excited about a lot of things and also worried about many things.I have some inhibitions about my face and skin. Since I am a working woman, I have never got much time for personal care. This is the right time for it now. I need  proper medical grade skin care. Want to improve my skin tone and texture  I read some details about it here, https://www.mcleanclinic.com/nonsurgical-procedures/non-surgical/skin-care/, and found it really helpful. Can anyone of you suggest me some more tips? Like what I can do at home to have a glow on my face?  Thanks in advance.
    • I think you should approach the dentist. That would be the best idea as of now.
