  2. That's a lot of extra money, that can be Bette used on your special day I guess :-) we aren't doing a welcome dinner either, there's only 20 of us... What was the promotion? I booked in January this year and didn't know there was anything on? Unless it's not open to us in the UK... Is DJ Mannia booked through the WC? We want to change our booking to the $900 package, it's worth it i agree with you I don't want to be worrying about music and speakers when we can pay someone to do it, and the mc will help create a great atmosphere I'm sure :-) thanks for your help Steph xx
  3. Hi Steph, congratulations! Not long to go now... Have you got a price for you rehersal dinner and bonfire from your WC? I'm curious about the DJ service, there's a big difference in price and we are swaying towards the package which includes the MC- we are a party of 20 so I don't want guests having to fiddle about with iPods I want everyone to relax abs have fun! Any advice?! Thanks xx
  4. Hello! I saw some photos on a thread once that really put me off a beach wedding- people were standing so close, in swimwear and towels a few metres from the bride and groom! Since then they have sectioned off a private area of the beach according to the response on the thread (I will try and find it for you) or ask your WC for some photos? xx

I do hope it looks nice Of course I will post lots of pics and once I've finished my chair sashes I'll post a pic of my homemade decorations in here so you can see :-) I've got a lace,strapless mermaid dress with long train, I love it :-) mermaid dresses are so lovely, I'll try and sneak a pic of it up and not let my fiancé see xx
  6. Those colours are amazing... I've gone for an antique pink and ivory theme, I've been collecting a few rustic pieces and making hessian chair sashes to courier out before we go- I want to bring the English garden tea party to the Caribbean! I really hope I can pull it off... I sent my save the dates 13 months before, wanted people to have enough time to decide if they could come, send them as soon as you like, I don't think there's a right or wrong time :-) Yes please post some pics of your evening dress would love to see the options! I've found my wedding dress too I'm so happy :-D x

  8. I agree, if you don't get them and struggle to find them closer to the time you will wish you did- I got mine a few months ago, they were a high street bargain, and got an extra one in case any alterations are needed xx
  9. Ah thanks for letting me know, i really appreciate it! I wouldn't want to spend that amount of money on something that lasts a minute... Time for a rethink :-) We are coming from the UK, there's 22 of us so it's a small wedding party... 40 rooms should be plenty- how many guests are you expecting? x
  10. I'm not sure on the bonfire- we are torn between that and fireworks!? The fireworks are about £400, so maybe the bonfire is about the same?? x
  11. I'm not sure but I know you can have a beach bonfire - I think pretty much anything you want you can ask for and the WC's will quote you 7 months to go for me! Anyone out there beginning of April too?? x

  15. Hello everyone! I'm new to the site, our wedding is booked for 11 April 2014 and I can't wait... I've had my quote from the wedding planner for all the extras we want and going to wait until 3 months before to confirm everything... The wedding presentation booklet is really helpful and answered all my questions x
  16. Hello everyone I have been reading this forum for months, and thought I should join, especially now that our wedding is booked! We are getting married at Dreams La Romana on 11 April 2014 Qe've got the garden gazebo booked for 3pm, then cocktails on the pier and the seaside deck for the reception... We booked the Ultimate package so everything is included, and we've booked some extras on top of that too like gazebo drapes, flowers and the DJ. I have a few questions I am hoping for some help with please...? The ceremony - in terms of what is said at the ceremony, can I customise it? There are certain readings we'd like in place of others The Seaside Deck - is it really dark there in the evening? Is is best to book extra lighting or should I change the reception venue? The Reception - what is the "basic" tableware that you get? I have got table decorations, chair sashes and LED tea lights to take with me Thanks in advance Steph x
