dolfin luck, my MOH is also getting the gel nails dine! She said it's better as it won't damage your nails as much. Do you know if they would last longer than acrylic nails?

Also, I'm having both photography and videography (HDC).. Do you guys know if I have to pay for two daypasses??

Xoxo Bee

since this was only the third time ever of getting my nails done i would have to say i dont know.  i just got the gel nail polish on top of my real nails since they would hold up for longer than just regular nail polish would.

i would think you would have to pay for 2 day passes as you need to pay for each person that comes on the resort

Excuse me while I rant for a second...

Our guests are coming to DLR for 5 days and then departing on that Wednesday. My FI and I have always intended to stay in the DR through the weekend as a mini-honeymoon. I've been asking him for months if he wanted to go to another resort or just stay where we are and he kept saying "Oh yeah. I'll think about it and let you know" and..... nothing.

So finally I email him the quote for us to just stay at the resort until Sunday and he writes back "great. just book it". Now he is saying that he wants to go back Saturday instead of Sunday so that we can have a day at home to decompress. Fine. Whatever. I'm over it at this point.

Except now my TA is saying that although it was no issue to add dates to our reservation, to remove a day and have us leave on Saturday would require us canceling our entire reservation and re-booking. This wouldn't be an issue except DLR is saying that there is a wait list for rooms and that we might not even get into our room category anymore. (Deluxe garden view).

Have any of you tried to take dates off your reservations? Did you find the same complications?

I'm pretty frustrated that FI hasn't been giving me any input on this until I finally book it and then after I do, wants me to do something else. smile105.gif

Ok, I'm ending my rant now. Thanks for listening. :)

Hey Hermosahoops,

Don't stress out over it, I would just leave the reservation as it is. I'm going to back work (planning on it anyway) the day after we get home. Do you really need to decompress after a vacation? That just seems funny if you really think about it.

You guys do have a long trip home though, but if he is worried that he won't get enough rest before going back to work, just promise him that you won't make him do anything when you get home on Sunday night.

We are coming home on a Wednesday, I am not planning to unpack anything that is not crucial until the weekend.

When I started booking the trip I double checked everything with my FI, but I had the opposite with my guy, he wanted to stay for 10 days, with compromised at 8. My thing is, if I tell him something twice and he doesn't really listen, I stick to my guns! Guys are annoying sometimes.

Hey Girls,

This is such a dumb question; do we have to count ourselves as part of the guest? I don't know why I haven't been counting us all this time. If we have 40 guests, when we are paying will we be paying for 42 people than?

It's been all about our guests all this time and I simply forgot to count ourselves anywhere...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
