Hi Girls, Been home for a very hectic week, will review as soon as I can. My wedding turned out amazing. There were ALOT of bumps along the way,but when it came down to it it was my perfect day. Congrats Dressa!

ok girls.... another quick checking as the FH and i are exhausted and burnt out and decided to make it an early night and just chill in the room. (we just came back from Portofino and had the most amazing beef filet and also grouper) Anyway.. great food. My meeting with Yianna went fine. I got everything that I was promised and she really is great to deal with. When I say I was ready to fight for everything. I had my MOH as backup. But it seems to have gone seemlessly. Yes i have some options that others will not have as new brides. But they really. REALLY, aim to please here. I will ofcourse give a full review of everything as soon as I'm back. KID'S CLUB: Personally none of the children have participated in the kids club, we are 47 very active family members and babies are passed around and such. But I have to say i'm totally impressed with the movies they set up on the beach. Activites and such. Kid friendly pool. So i would imagine its all great. I see kids in the Core Zone all the time and they seem amused. The only thing i did notice was that adults are not allowed in the kids club. Which I can see is a plus as you do not want strangers near your child. Ladies, i'm still little stressed with things and i'm also runnning on empty (47 people is constant entertaining) But it is honestly a wonderful place. The food is amazing, if you don't like one thing you will for sure enjoy another!!! off to snuggle and have some down time. xxoo talk to you all very soon.

Hi Ladies, A quick hello. This resort is gorgeous and everyone has been amazing. I am only meeting Yianna today as she was busy with brides yesterday and the concierge said... go enjoy... we want you to be happy and relaxed. Customer service amazing. A few bumps with rooms but nothing major or anything that was not quicky fixed. WE are a big group with three different parting cities so it was to be expected. Food excellent, drinks devine. So in regards to the resort, we are extremely pleased and very impressed. I will let you know how the WC goes. Still a bit nervous on that one as I'm not sure if they are going to change things up on me. I have yet to take alot of pics because of the flurry of family and friends. xox Dana

Hello All, You all have wonderful shoes, i'm too chicken to go high heel as i'm a clutz.. So tomorrow my wedding adventure begins. One last day of work and one more sleep. We will be leaving tomorrow on Sunwing at 11:25 and should be in Punta Cana by 3:40 (according to our tickets) Then a bus ride to the DLR. My TA acquire a bus for my group so hopefully the bus ride won't be as long as others have said. I willl have loads of pics and a review when i get back!! Talk to you all soon!

Thanks everyone for the Good Luck wishes. All i can say is I"M TIRED. I'm still working up till Tuesday. My bosses decided to go away for the next few days which leaves me in charge of three companies by default. I'm at a point that i'm dreaming of the bed in La Romana just to be away. I will have internet access in my room as I have a few large projects that need my attention. ( I know sucks ) But what are you going to do right? Everything is planned and whatever is not finished or forgotten, there is not much I can do about it now. I couldn't find the table sizes, I know it was given to me by Tiara at one point and also that there are two sized tables to have either 8 or 10 people. I'm pretty sure Bee had the sizes in one of her posts if you scroll back. I will let you all know about these vendors for the "ultimate" program as well (the time share or return stay program that has been complained about). anyway girls, continue to plan happily

Hi there, NOPE... ACTUALLY IN ONE WEEK EXACTLY I WILL HAVE LANDED and am hopefully on the bus heading towards DLR. I've heard about the time share people as well, and i'm leary about it, but also I can say no very firmly if so. I've got my guard up going on this trip, I just hope hope hope hope, its everything that I imagined it would be. I haven't mentioned to anyone who's coming about the Hdc and other issues that put me in a state of doubt about how this will all be. I'm bringing 47 people and they all paid alot of money to be at this resort. I don't want them to fret over it either. I will absolutely be giving a very detailed review when i'm back. Also, for business reasons.. I will have my laptop to check in. I'm not promising to log on, but if I do... I'll give you guys the play by play. I have three brides who are waiting for my opinion before they book at the DLR, and a couple of others who are on the fence as well... Just can't wait to get this show on the road!!! 7 days!!!!

I bought paper lanterns for the gazebo only and got 14" 16" 20" (Pink, White and Aqua) We ordered them off of ebay. We also bought at one point battery operated votives off of ebay as well. For the ipod, lots of brides brought their own dock and did it. To rent speakers its the same as having a DJ 250$ (unless prices have changed) Some brides invested in a really good Bose station instead. Others rented speakers for the week at a low cost (i remember it was under 20$) Regardless i'm sure you will figure it out. I just got the DJ and am bringing a full iphone... I'm very upset, i ordered custom glasses and the artist didn't send them to the right address so they are being returned... and I won't have them for my wedding Sigh... hope this is the only thing that goes wrong ;(

Nemo- Look in my default album, I uploaded any pics sent to me (Cake, Flowers, etc) Dreamsbride: I know the SSG isn't being used anymore because I had to "fight' for it, they honored it because I had a quote from June of last year. I believe if you use the resorts chair covers there is no charge, this is what I was led to believe by Tiara. Its the rental of the tiffany chairs that is or was 15$ a chair. I'm trying to organize my million emails and print them out so i have all these promises up and running. Yes i got an email from Jenny as Tiara's assistant. I'm really not sure how long people take of for maternity in the DR. Maybe Tiara is around but just in the background. I can't wait we are down to two weeks tomorrow i'll be on a plane! It seems like i just started this journey a long time ago.

If it makes you feel better, Tiara hasn't gotten back to me for about a week, that other issue was the first time I've ever gotten an email from Yianna. I'm sure she will get back to you.

Hi All, Went to the St Patrick's Parade to blow off steam today. Nothing like dancing around and Irish coffees to make you relax. I did receive an email last night from Yianna. She confirmed that a list was sent to her and that there should not be a problem with my wedding. Obviously, not so with any future brides who want to book with an off-resort photographer. To a certain extent I understand as a business that they want to service their bridal party fully. But this one threw me, as now i'm paranoid there will be more changes coming and they will not honor the items that I confirmed. I have been patient with a few unexpected changes and nodded my head and came to decision to let it go. But to get this email, regardless if it was in a "form letter" format. It enraged me and now i'm actually waiting for the other shoe to drop. I haven't been sleeping well since friday night. Its stressful enough planning a destination wedding, working full time and having family and friends, for any last minute "changes" to happen. BUT like I said, Yianna was prompt in getting back to me and I guess I will accept that answer and be happy that they are honoring my contract. I just hope that Dreams Resorts will not dissapoint me on what I plan to be one of the most important trips and events of my life. I want to be excited... I want tell yell from the rooftop that they should get married at this resort because of the wonderful experience that I had. I guess in the end, when I have gone through everything and when I write my review, I will know how I feel. As long as nothing else changes from now and April 11th... then maybe I can relax. Anyway, lots of last minute plans to make, and get together. I work a full time job in Marketing and Sales, and organizing the time I will take off is a task on its own. This is what I imagined I would be stressing about in the few weeks before leaving, not wedding details! My fiance is "trying" to help as much as he can, but he just realized the time frame and is freaked out... (He works in slow motion and doesn't believe in lists) LOL poor guy was worried all day he threw out his bow tie, but it was where he left it. I just want to relax and get to Dreams and enjoy my experience from beginning to end!!! Lets hope that happens for me and every one of you. Thank you girls, its been a god send to be able to talk to people who know and can understand the situation. I know alot of you are at the beginning of the planning stage... and I don't want to take your excitment away by my anxieties! I'm sure it will all work out! Everyone have a happy week! -Dana

I'm not totally freaking out yet... I also got an email from Tiara when they changed the charge for the civil weddings and i'm having a "symbolic" one. I know my fiance got a very upset email from Arnaud, but it was a little unclear as if he did indeed send the list yet or not. SOOOOO lets see what happens... Chanelo - I'm assuming you asked Tiara about this and you got a response from her? I'm REALLY trying to to let the stress and the worry creep in, but i can't help it... i'm going to be a wreck until i get there and confirm everything. I'm highly organized about every detail and have documented everything... but you never know I guess.
