Dreams La Romana

Recommended Posts

I went to that resort about 4 times and we have always flown into Santo Domingo.  It's a lot cheaper from where we live in terms of airfare and it is a direct flight for us so we prefer that. The transfer didn't bother us.  We also didn't have any issues with unsafe driving or leaving too early.  We always book our transfers through Cheap Caribbean or some other vendors, it costs about $30 per person each way.

I'm flying to Dreams LR this july to do a site-see with my fiance.  Its only going to be a 3 night trip...any suggestions about airports? I'm just concerned with any safety of the hour & a half bus ride from Punta Cana to La Romana.  The flights to La Romana seem more expensive.  And I've never heard anything ab santo domingo airport.

Any ideas on what works best??

Thank you!!

We are flying in to Punta Cana but that is because we don't Have any other option from Canada in the summer - if we had the choice we would probably have chosen to fly directly to La Romana.  We have booked our transfer through Coco tours which have been awesome so far and we are getting a private transfer for about $42 per person round trip which is cheaper than I could find anywhere.

Hi KCB,

I see that you are doing a private catamaran trip for all of your guests.  Can you tell me what company you are using.  We are trying to set one up also, and it seems super expensive.  We are getting quotes for about $90 per person.

Thanks for any information you can give me!!

Where are all the reviews???  I have been checking like a crazy person for a review of DLR since there has been quite a few ladies married in the past little while but still nothing  :(   I guess I will just have to be patient!

We are using the same company that we are using for our airport transfers so I think we are getting a discount because we are giving them a lot of business!  But you can check with them anyway, I originally got per person pricing from them as well and it wasn't as high as $90 per person!  It is Coco Tours and I have been arranging everything with Steve - they pick up at the DLR beach which is nice so there is not bus to the marina or anything!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
