Dreams La Romana

Recommended Posts

Ladies, my wedding was beautiful.  You all have nothing to worry about.  All of the guests enjoyed the resort and the amenities.  I will post a full review when I have a little bit more time.  I did however post a planning thread which has some of my pictures that my brother took, not our photographer.  Whenever he gives me more pictures I will post them.  Here is the link to the planning thread. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/73705/mrs-williams-planning-thread-w-pictures#post_1611020

RAIN SITE:  It rained on the day of my wedding for 2 hours.  We used the backup option, which was inside the seaside grill for the reception and on the inner deck area for the ceremony.  it was better than I could have ever imagined.  The sun set perfectly on our union as we said our vows.  Our guests informed us that rain is good luck, well, I guess that means we got two hours worth of good luck in our marriage.

If there are any questions that I can answer in the meantime, please feel free to ask.  Until then, here is one of my favorite pictures that my brother took of us and one of my father and I and my daughter and I.

Oh yeah, here is the rain ceremony site:

Hey ladies! All the pics from your weddings look gorgeous!  I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can use an outside vendor for chairs? We have about 100 people who are going to attend the wedding and if we pay $15 a person thats $1500 for chairs which seems pretty expensive.  How did it work out for you girls?

My mother talked me into using the free chairs with white covers and renting sashes from home. Honestly, I had an attitude about it the whole time, but when you compare $100 rental of sashes to $700 or so for chairs no one is going to notice in the first place, it's a no brainer. I'm happy she talked me into it because no one cared about the chair they sat in except for me. In fact, the only thing they talked about was how beautiful everything was. But, Jenny told me that the chairs are from an outside company, which is why she can't negotiate on the price. Trust me, I asked since we had about 73 people expected to attend. We ended up with 70 people I believe.

Mrs. Williams - there is an option for free chairs? Did Dreams provide the white covers for them also for free? I don't mind bringing sashes from home, I only saw options for $15 or $8 pp/per chair.  There are so many more fun options I would rather spend that money on!!

And Dreams723 can you also send me the vendor that you're using?

Thank you ladies!!

Hi guys,

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you, the person whom is supplying the chairs for me works for a local company in La Romana, the Tiffany chairs come in various colors, the same offered by Dreams.  The only problem is she only speaks spanish, if that is not a problem you can contact her at 809-526-7448 her name is Marilyn and you can let her know Francy gave you her number and you're interested in the chairs.

She does more than just the chairs, she can also provide flowers at a great rate and more!  If by any chance you don't speak spanish, I have no problem speaking to her for you.  Just send me a message with the date of your wedding and what you're interested in.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
