Help me decide on a style of dress!! (w/pictures!)

Recommended Posts

Ahaha. that comment about a fairly large chest made my day. It's not often somebody considers a 36B large :-P Anyway, I like lots of different styles of dresses and have probably tried on over 100 total. Initially i wanted something a bit more sleek just because we're only going to have about 20 guests and I thought it was more appropriate. But after seeing dresses like #40 and 36 - I feel like it shouldn't matter - as long as its not super out of place and i'm happy. But yeah... I don't know what to do

I like 36 because of the neckline and side gathering...very nice on you!!! But I would say my favourite is #46...I love the sweetheart neckline on you, the criss crossing of the fabric over the mid section makes your top half look longer and leaner, especially with the row of crystals.....it hits in just the right spot and the dress looks beautiful on you (again..just in my opinion).

LOVE you in #46!!!

Thanks guys! In the store I liked 46 but wasn't in love with it. After I got home and looked at pictures it quickly rose to the top of my list. I really like 40 though too. Both were sample gowns, I THINK 46 was $600 and know 40 was $700 - not bad!

I stopped at Davids bridal last night on my way home from work. I tried on the dress I posted and a couple more. I liked a different one better than the one I showed. My personal problem with Davids bridal though is that I feel like the material is super cheap (ok, I'm a snob for saying this). The dress I liked was $600 so why on earth wouldn't I spend the same or $100 more and have something that is soooo much better quality?! Sure, it photographs decent but I really don't want people coming up to hug me and thinking it feels cheap. But as I got told last night - I'm really the only one who probably cares!

I think I'm just going to keep shopping around until there's something that I can't live without - or until I run out of time. I had a dream last night that I went back to the store and all the gowns were gone so I'll take that as my sign. Now to decide WHERE we're having it.... lol

There are several that look really good, but my fav was 40 - makes your waist look tiny & I really like the ruching on the top. Good luck deciding!

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
