Notarized wedding paperwork

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I am from the UK and was just wondering if our passports, driving licences and birth certificates all need to be notarized as I have heard lots of different things and some people have mentioned that they just scnaned and e-mailed their documents to Chandlyn without getting them notarized.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

You need your passport and drivers license or birth certificate notorized (just need one of the two of those). I believe you may be able to scan the notorized copies to Chandlyn. I just sent them registered mail but several other brides just did it way ahead of their wedding and sent them regular mail.

Hi Jamin

I'm also from the UK. I had my birth cert and passport photocopied then certified that the copies were a true copy of the original - by a solicitor. It cost £10 for mine and FI. I then scanned them and emailed to Chandlyn. I was prepared to post them too, but when I asked if the scanned version was ok she said it was fine. You just need to take your originals with you!

HOpe that helps.

Claire

Your date is coming up soo quickly! You must be soo excited.
I believe we had to give them our occupations when we filled out the request for our wedding date. Don't quote me on that cause this was over a year ago now but I'm pretty sure.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
