OK ... I just bought it too! I love it ... not my first wedding so I've been going back and forth on color. For those who already have it ... someone said it's not white ... and that might actually work out better as I've already been married LOL but how off from white is it? If I use it as my wedding dress would it still blend nicely with the other wedding white (i.e. chairs, tulle, etc.). If I find another dress I will use this for TTD but I may end up wearing it.

Also I'm 5'9" ... they did not have my normal size (12) and after doing the measuring for the chest/bust it said I was a 16 ... (they didn't have a 14 either) so hopefully it will fit in the bust (nothing usually does) and I can have the rest altered if necessary.

Does anyone else have plans to alter it? Does it look like it's easy to alter?

Thanks again for the great find! Made me day ... *huGs* to all! Suzanne

It is a simple tube style. A seam down either side. It will be VERY easy to alter. FYI it runs huge! I am a 16 and I ordered the 12 (sorry!) and I can almost zip it up. Some spanks and I would be set with the 12, but plan on losing some weight anyway. As far as the color, it is not a bright white. I wouldn't call it ivory. It's in between the two. It would work with white items though. I would try to pair it with white that has a metallic sheen if you can. You will see what I mean when it arrives.

My dress arrived and it's really nice! Unless I find something else that I just HAVE to have I will wear this one. I took it to an alterations lady and she's quoted me $55 to alter ... plus $75 for the hem if I need to have it shortened.

I went and bought some pewter fabric and I'll make my own sash for it and I'll post how it comes out.

Now I'm just hoping that if my fiance wears a white shirt it won't clash for our pics! What do you gals who have the dress think? I might get him both a white and a blue so if it's really bugging me he can change for couple pictures ... but I'd love any feedback.

Thanks for the heads up on this dress ... I'm so happy with it! *huGs* Suzanne

I just got my dress in the mail and I'm going to have to return in. I got a Size 6 which is my normal size - its fits on my boobs and hips but it is huge on my midsection/stomach area...it's not worth the extra cost to alter it for me, as it was just my TTD dress and doesn't seem worth the extra cost when I'm just going to ruin it anyway.

I'm glad it's working out for you ladies though - I was bummed!

You may want to see if a friend can alter it for you. I am a fashion design student and can draft patterns from scratch. So take my word on this...that dress can be taken in soooo easily. You could probably do it yourself if you had a sewing machine. There are only 2 princess seams down the front, and the side seams. I bet that one of your friends mothers or grandmothers would do it for free! Good luck. I hope you get to keep it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
