Alright, ladies, I've been lurking for months. I've been waiting to get engaged. Still not official yet, but he has bought the dress, so I'm unofficially looking at dresses. :)

I fell in love with this dress based on pictures. This is my second wedding, so I'm on a super tight budget, and I'd never pay $8000 for a dress anyways, so I'm looking to go the knock-off route. I know someone on here has had a designer make this dress. My concern is the fabric. I want it to be the light, airy feel, but I'm wondering if they can do that.

Here are some pics: (Sorry for so many, I'm a wee bit obsessed)

      Dianna,

I think..about 100-200 pages ago, there was a bride who ordered the same dress from Gianniar, I don't think anyone can make it...the original is made with handcut silk....

here are pics of the end product...

after following this page since december, i decided to send pictures to LANDYbridal in hopes she could recreate my dress. I recieved it in the mail today, and to my suprise I AM IN LOVE! i was so nervous that it just couldnt be done! The only negative thing i have to say is she did not email me proofs OR email me before she sent the dress. below are the original and then the landy version! (will post with more pics)

Dianna, I would just go for the $1200 Vera Wang dresses from David's Bridal.

Mocha, any news on your dress? Did you track it? I received my tracking number form Babyonline today, without them sending me any pictures of my dress, as promised. The tracking number seems real, so I just hope for the best.

I agree with Mocha. Go with Vera at Davids.

A knock off of this dress will leave you disappointed

Manni - it is somewhere in Canada. Hopefully it will arrive at my office today. Since Babyonline screwed up and sent it to the wrong address, I had to contact the courier company and request to have it redirected. The courier company didn't do this and it was signed for at the old address. So now that person is forwarding it to me. I'm trying to prepare myself for the worst, but right now I'm worried I will have to wear a dress that either doesn't fit or looks horrible.

Oh Mocha, I feel so awful for you... You are in my thoughts and prayers that everything goes right and that dress fits you like it was meant to be a second skin.

I hope everything else in your planning is going smoothly, because this is such a bummer =(

Thank you Court. I guess it's what I deserve for not making my wedding dress a priority and trusting that they would deliver on time.
